UPDATE: De'Von Achane Knee Injury - IR

Recommended Posts

De’Von Achane is dealing with a knee injury sustained in the Dolphins Week 5 win according to head coach Mike McDaniel. (Source: Marcel Louis-Jacques on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Achane has exploded out of the Miami backfield, and his status at practice throughout the week will need to be monitored. If the running back will miss time, fantasy owners can expect Raheem Mostert to consume the majority of carries.

Makes sense.

It always annoys me when they say knee injury, but they could be more specific like ACL sprain, MCL sprain, meniscus issue, tendinitis, bone bruise. Etc. etc..

Knee injury usually means it's minor or they don't know yet

He's been on quite a tear, but it wasn't sustainable

In ppr, I have Ekeler, Monty, A. Jones, Z. Moss, Henry, Spiers and McLaughlin. I have K. Allen, D. Moore, Hopkins, G. Davis and Kirk. Maybe Wilson for McLaughlin? Was thinking about trying for Osborn as well.  Any thoughts?

Osborn would be a good addition.

I agree. Probably won't happen since there are 4 teams ahead of me. We'll see.  Wilson could be in a similar situation as McLaughlin? A little chaos and unknown perhaps? Or do you see things differently?

Thing is he's only had 38 carries on the year. If that's truly not sustainable for him, then he's cooked in this league.

Well, that's pretty much what Mostert is like.

He can look like the best RB in NFL history for a couple of games and then be on the injury list for the next 6 weeks or so.

Maybe the Dolphins can juggle two guys like that if Achane is injury prone as well.

Just the right hit at the right time, doesn’t make one injury prone

Seriously, he was a flash in the pan.  Really exciting too, lets hope he is back for the playoffs!

Miami Dolphins rookie running back De'Von Achane is likely to be activated from injured reserve as soon as he is eligible to return, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Achane is expected to miss the minimum four games and return after the Dolphins' bye for their Week 11 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, the source told Schefter.
