Which TE to pick up for ROS?

Recommended Posts

McBride.....was he a 1 week flash? Will Ertz coming back hurt his ROS value?

Ferguson.....alot of mouths to feed in this offense but Dak loves to look his way in the RZ.

Njoku......finally scored a TD but with Walker as QB. What about when Watson returns?

Musgrave.....getting alot of looks but not producing. Due to bad QB from Love? Big game coming?

Thoughts?

I was able to grab Kincaid last week (I assume he's taken) so my rank FWIW:

Ferguson, McBride, Njoku, Musgrave

Do you like Kincaid more than Logan?

Good question. Kincaid has a better QB but he also has more options. I guess if I had my pick I'd take Kincaid just because of his remaining schedule as it relates to TE points scored, and hope that Fournette doesn't eat into those dump off targets.

Jake Ferguson

I figure at this point looking for a TE, you're basically playing TD roulette.

While his upside is limited, he's in the most stable situation. He's Dak's over the middle, short to intermediate range security blanket. He lingers around the area where Dak throws a bit of TDs, the 10-15 yard or so, over the middle range.

If it's PPR, he's probably gonna get about 3-4 catches a game and 30-40 yards, probably 5-6 TDs overall. If you're lucky, he'll score 7-8 TDs.

In my league....we are given a limited number of waiver moves for the year.

Yea that can make things rough, both my leagues do the same, Ferguson is the right pick.

as long as walker is in, this is a good choice.

problem is... walker is likely a short term band aid.

McBride. Ertz has to miss 3 more games minimum right? And McBride is their TE of the future. With Murray set to return probably in week 10 and probably not running like Kyler Murray, I could see McBride continuing to see target volume

I thought this issue was resolved, it’s Ferguson.

McBride. He was already outperforming Ertz, when Ertz was playing. McBride - not including last week - was second in the NFL (behind Kelce) in route yards run.

Then, in his first shot as full time TE, he nabs 10rpts 95yards +TD.

I don't think the return of Ertz will affect McBride at all.

the conversation continues with other options because what if someone already has the guy rostered?   I like having 2 or 3 options to choose from.   I lost waller and in my league the TE pickings is quite slim.   I'm streaming and playing matchups.    so far with some success.
