You could start by making a thread about them. I'd participate in that important discussion.

Preventing Trump from being on the ballot would go a long way toward shutting down the biggest concerns domestically. At least until the MAGA terrorists start FAFOing.

Oh. Ā Because the FBI director testified inĀ front of congress that the homeland is in danger from an attack within. Ā You know, the FBI. You like them now. Any concerns?Ā

I’d say radical Islamic terrorists. What’s your guess?Ā

That's totally weird because I remember when Trump was in office everybody who wanted a job had one, gas prices were way lower, hell, the price of EVERYTHING was way lower, illegal immigration was at a trickle and life in America was pretty good for everybody except butthurt liberals who decided to throw a tantrum for four years.Ā

We are firmly entrenched in second world status and we're heading at breakneck speed for the third world.Ā

Good times!Ā

You're forgetting the whole trying to prevent the peaceful transition of power for the first time in the country's history by attacking our capital.

Otherwise known as treason.Ā  The insurrectionist are lucky they weren't lined up and shot.Ā  That's what would have happened even 100 years ago.Ā

There has to be a reasonable expectation in the minds of the insurrectionist that they could actually stop the transition. HTH. Ā

They attacked the capital and delayed the peaceful transition of power.Ā  Plus they were MAGAturds so what runs through their extremely simple minds isn't exactly the stuff reasonable people can conceive of.

If roles were reversed and a bunch fo crunchy granola jerkoffs stormed the capitol so Biden would be made to remain as President the far right here would've been circle jerking themselves into exhaustion here. But again- Trump and his people did it so it is A-OK

There is nothing reasonable about the people that broke into the capitol that day.

I firmly believe they had no idea what they were doing except listening to Trump's orders.

If it can be shown that Trump gave the orders I will not vote for him. But I have seen nothing to indicate that he did.Ā

Yeah, other than that, nothing much has changed from 4 years ago.Ā

I pay like 100 dollars a month more for groceries (not 3X), my utilities are not "going through the roof", no homelessness near me that I can see, I'm not an idiot and not addicted to drugs, and I don't live in or near a major city in America. I don't see any more millions of illegal 3rd world feeloaders.

Ā

So yes my life is not much different. Yours probably isn't either. But your anger is still there- good for you.Ā

I do love the idea that "drug addiction" is a Biden issue.

Ā

People have always been on drugs because people are stupid. Imagine the stupidity if someone looked at this statement: "Drug overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, fentanyl analogues, and tramadol increased by 10% between 2017 and 2018" and said "That's Trump's fault." It'd be completely idiotic.Ā

Winkler moved three years ago from California, in part because the 29-year-old real estate agent wanted to own a home and knew his money would go further in Colorado.

The political views he imported are typical of Winkler’s youthful cohort, which tends toward left of center. He voted for Biden in 2020 and Democratic Gov. Jared Polis last November, largely because of his contempt for the GOP — too narrow-minded, in Winkler’s view — and a particular dislike for Donald Trump.

The General Assembly in the past two years has worked to impose higher taxes, more regulation of businesses, policies to end oil and gas production, a one-size-fits-all sex education curriculum for schools and more.

The movement’s leaders want rent-free ā€œsocial housingā€ for the destitute and homeless; state and local sanctuary policies that openly defy the efforts of federal immigration authorities; a ā€œliving wageā€ or ever-increasing mandatory minimum wages for unskilled and entry-level labor.

They want a government bank in Denver, one imagined as more socially ā€œjustā€ than private-sector, for-profit financial institutions.rink

Good for you. The same amount of groceries where live are approaching 3 times what they cost a few years ago. Electricity was through the roof this summer and I suspect the same will be true of gas prices this winter. Tent cities used to be a thing I only saw in major metro areas around here but the last couple of years has seen homeless encampments popping up all around the suburbs and drug addicted mental cases yelling at imaginary people on the street in what used to be quiet neighborhoods. And apparently you don't have a TV. Otherwise you would know how bad the border situation is.Ā

Maybe I should move out to the boonies with you where the effects of Biden's domestic policies haven't come home to roost, yet.Ā

At home food prices increased 11.4% from 2021 to 2022.Ā  They are expected to increase another 5.1% in 2023 with prediction interval of 4.7% too 5.5%.

-USDA

Rich people can afford it though.Ā  That hurts the poors the most.Ā Ā

That was from '21 to '22. I wonder what the numbers are from '18 to '23.Ā

And that sh!t hurts everybody who is still working and looking to save for retirement. You can't get those dollars back.Ā

ā€œMy groceries are only $100 more a monthā€ was truly tone deaf. Ā Not just to poor people, but, general financial responsibility. Ā An extra $100 invested per month is 20K in 10 years. Ā 300K in 40. Ā Accepting that as no big deal is just dumb. Ā

24.3%. According to USDA.Ā

There is no doubt the big blue cities are quite a bit worse than that. Ā

I have no idea if this would be a good legal decision- I’m not a constitutional scholar. But it would be a terrible political decision. If Donald Trump is to be defeated it needs to be at the ballot box, fairly, as he was in 2020. If he wins re-election next time around so be it. But taking away the right of the voters to decide will bring about nothing but more discord and dissension.Ā
