Amazing. There are folks here who have denied the Holocaust and worse. There are people here who spread racism and homophobia on a daily basis. And yet I’m the one who receives your ire. Because I dared criticize Bobby Knight for using his fame to help Trump get elected. Oh the horror of it. 
I get the hostility against me is real. I really don’t care but it makes those who offer it look foolish. And in any case I’m not hostile against anyone:

I love The General but he was sad, bitter and frankly disappointing at the end there. I’m glad he went back to Bloomington and reconciled a bit.

My HS basketball coach always had a few pictures hanging of him and Knight when he attended a few basketball seminars of Knight's.  Very big fan of Knight.  

The kids are so soft and coddled today there is no way they could handle Knights style.

Knight turned boys into men.  Now they turn toddlers into boys.

Just reading tributes from players like Scott May and others about how Knight taught them to be responsible and discipline in their lives even off the court. 

The coaches today not from their own fault have to be babysitters.

Maybe not to Knight’s extent, but aren’t there still some coaches with somewhat similar styles?  Tom Izzo maybe?  I don’t really follow basketball because it’s for sissies
