*** Happy Football Day Week 12***

Recommended Posts

I hope so. No excuses with Green Bay so banged up. We embarrassed then in Green Bay on national TV earlier in the year.  They learned something, made good adjustments at halftime, and won't just get rolled again.

Chicago isn't a very good team, but Sunday reminds everyone that when you lose the turnover battle 4-1, you can find your ass down twelve points with five minutes left.

Wonderful having a Lions QB and team that doesn't kneel during the National Anthem on Thanksgiving.

I've seen enough over the last several weeks. Detroit's defense is a shitshow, not a serious contender.

They don't look good lately and I don't trust Aaron Glenn's schemes.

The team need CJGJ and James Houston back.   Houston may be back in December. CJGJ  hopefully by playoff time.

Moseley is done for the season.

Needed a break like those dummies to crash into each other on 4th down.  See if they can't get things together.

That was funny. Almost reminds me of Mark Sanchez and butt fumble.

Defense needs to show something, offense needs to hold onto the ball.

Is everybody getting a Biden campaign ad or is this just a Michigan thing?

Dan Campbell is a meathead that motivates his players. That only gets you so far.  He thinks he has to live up to the persona that he has created for his team. Sometimes you should punt.

Ah, that sucks. Too many turnovers and Campbell's gambles that didn't work out. Congrats to Green Bay.

May have to give up the ghost on the #1 seed and just hope to hold on to #2. Lions have looked bad the last 2 1/2 games

Dont mind anyone especially doormats getting excited for teams.  But Lions fans forgot thr last how many decades?  Turned into chirpers awfully quick, team didnt even make playoffs last year.

Hopefully the Cowboys can avoid playing down to their competition today. 🤞

Detroit still has a shot at the 1 seed but they may need to win out, one more loss tops. The way they’ve looked I doubt the Lions can beat the Cowboys and sweep Minny.

Some really dumb decisions to go for it on fourth. I get being aggressive but there is a line

I don't understand the aversion to taking the three points when you have the chance. McCarthy has pissed away quite a few field goals this year that could've made a difference at the end of the game.

So far they're holding true to form.  :wall:

Although the Cowboys game is the most difficult on the Lions schedule, I hadn't been terribly worried about it until the Lions got into a funk these last few games. They'vew just been so sloppy with turnovers lately, plus in this game none of Campbell's Gambles worked.

Honestly I did not know this prior and I am kind of surprised 4 was the record for a career.

Jordan Love is pretty good

Looked like crap at the start of the year. But yeah, he’s really turned it around in the last 4-5 games. Let’s see if defenses figure him out

Not sure he looked like crap.  Inconsistent/forced balls.  Playing with by far and away the youngest offense in the league.  Watson and Jones have missed games.  Oline was a mess early.  And they still cant run the ball.  Tough spot for a first time starter.  They are progressing as a team.

Im not anointing him as next big thing.  Just saying he looks the part.

Had a 5 game stretch with 8 ints against 5tds, QB rating in the low 60s. But yeah, I do agree he has looked the part otherwise and I’d be optimistic if I were a packers fan

Michigan State's picked up Oregon State head coach Johnathan Smith as head coach. I have a lot of respect for the Pac-12, they served as the worthwhile villains and tough opposition in the Rose Bowl years. My heart goes out to Oregon State, a big blow to their staff and conference. Any year previous to 2023, this would be a lateral move that makes no sense, but sadly, the conference is a dumpster fire mess and the programs and people involved are all reaching for life jackets.

MSU is lucky to have somebody this good available. Smith did a fine job for the school, taking a bad team and getting them some success, ranked as high as 10 this year. He'll have to learn to scout Michigan and the Midwest. Obviously I wish him great success, MSU had a terrible year considering the way the Mel Tucker fiasco went down. If the team is going to have success moving forward, they're going to need a quality coach to move mountains and do so ASAP. In the Big Ten, MSU football is historically on the tier just below UM and Ohio State, and the danger of joining Indiana and Purdue and Rutgers as permanent also-rans is quite real and quite serious.

Good Luck Johnathan Smith.

Giants Pats is going to be a joke. Someone is going to fumble and both teams will look at the ball in the ground and be like you pick it up no you pick it up.
