I had a sales manager, who was a buffoon, present in front of hundreds of people.  He started out by having everyone stand up and raise both arms over their heads making an "O" by clasping their hands.

 

He then calmly said threw the mic.  "Thank you everyone for the standing "O"."  Immediate laughter ensued and the floor was his.
