These people will scream about inter city poor areas and their lack of hope.  Yet make fun of rural US town of small population that doesnt have hope.   Their kids dont see the bright lights.  There is no opportunity.   There is no hope.

Rural town USA has it waaaay harder than urban ghetto.

Truth. I don't care for the "educated urbanites" tendency to look down on those from rural areas. What I like about the small town and rural folks is the lack of pretension. What you see is what you get, people are generally nice and generous.

The weird part with rural folks attitudes is that they're so insular. "Take care of us, not them!" I see this same position taken by most conservatives. It feels as though in many cases, rural people are much nicer and less arrogant, yet care less about those that aren't "them." Whereas those living in urban or suburban areas seemingly DGAF about their next door neighbor, but are more likely to support policies that help a larger group of people. Just my observations and experiences.

You should start a thread on this topic.

I also agree that people from large coastal metro cities definitely trend more toward being ass holes than those living outside those metro areas.

This guy thinks John Roberts is far right too.

He’s had some doozies like Citizens United, but he’s probably the most centrist

Urbanites act like they care but multiple people here say they dont even know their neighbors.

Yeah its virtue signaling 101.  "Care about a large group".  But in day to day lives would step on them to get a mocha.

Small town takes care of their own generally.  Big town is full of people who say bunch but dont actually care.  Afraid to get to know their neighbor.  Just a number.  Its all for show.

The people who actually care about people are in small cities pound for pound.   Ive seen communities have nothing yet their teachers care a ton.  Cities they want zoom to go on forever.

Cities are a bunch of people together who dont give a crap about one another.  And thats the truth.   I know plenty of people who live in big cities and say the same.

My nearest full-time neighbor is over a mile away, and I definitely don’t trust him. Only a shady M’er F’er would live out here…

That’s not a far right position. At least nit anymore. The left loves it now.

I've lived more rural than you.

Rural farms and small towns less than 3000 ppl for my entire childhood. Again in young adulthood. Several years in a frontier area, which is more rural than rural, in a county that had less than 2 people per square mile in population density.

I live in a mid-size city now, surrounded by farm land and small towns. Will never live in a city bigger than a quarter million people again in all likelihood.

Once again, the MAGAMOOK dipshlts that keep making assumptions about me don't know WTF they're talking about.
