It's certainty possible, actually probable that democrats have rooted against our economy before, but it's not the point.  We should all be able to agree that an economic crash is not something to root for, it should be something to avoid.  You might be fine with your leader having no issue with a crash happening as long as it doesn't happen during his presidency, others don't agree with this type of selfish act.
