They already had some internal gm pick.

The issue to me is why all these internal moves? I feel like they need to start over with some new blood. It’s not as easy as just plugging someone else in the spot, imo, and it’s that type of thinking that 20+ years on has gotten them where they now are.

Meh.  Not much difference.   Mayo will run a nice defense.  He is in tune with the game he is like 37 years old.  Think Demeco Ryans.  Its not so much sbout Mayo.  Its who the GM is and who the OC is at this point.  If anything there will be a different philosophy in how they construct a team.  Im sure Mayo would be open to to different QBs than BB was.   

From my prospective their defense will be good and now they have to be aggressive in drafting offense and have a coherent plan as to how they go about it.  

Grabbing a quality GM is more important right now than who is at head coach

I mean probably will hire from within.  Which is fine.  Im sure a lot of rhese got trumped by BB and will be more free.  

They parted with BB and BB left because it wasn't moving.  Id assume they are smart enough that some things need to be done differently even if the foundation stays similar.
