This was also the speech where he ranted against the teleprompters not working properly: " “Tell them to make the microphone louder!” Trump screamed. “It’s terrible! … Are the teleprompters not working? Not even a little bit. Great job! Trump then threatened not to pay the crew over the technical issues. “And then I don’t pay the company that does it, right?” Trump said. “And then I end up with a story, ‘Trump doesn’t pay.’ I don’t pay contractors that do a shitty job. And that’s a shitty job! That’s a shitty job! You can’t read a word. But you know what? It usually ends up that the speech is better, it’s crazy. Then they’ll say, ‘Oh, isn’t it terrible? Trump takes advantage of his [contractors].’ No. I take great — when I have a good contractor, a subcontractor, nobody gets paid faster. But when I have contractors that do this kind of work? You can have them.” The real secret between Trump and Biden is they are both of diminishing mental capacities...just in different ways. Hard to believe the two candidates for the biggest position of power in the free world are going to be a combined 159 years old when we hit the election. Sean Mooney 1,983 Posted June 10, 2024 In his interview with Hannity, Trump also told people how to stop addictions: HANNITY: There are other legal — there are real legal issues. TRUMP: Excuse me. The really big stuff and their trial — look, I feel very badly for them in terms of the addiction part of what they have right now. Quote HANNITY: Right. TRUMP: Because I understand the addiction world. And I have also — not only a brother. I have lost a lot of friends to addiction, drugs, alcohol. And there are other addictions also, frankly. It would be nice if people would do certain things and live certain ways. But you’re not able to — they’re just not able to break it. I have had — I have had friends that are so strong. My brother was a strong person. I have had friends that were so strong, so powerful, they couldn’t stay away from a glass of alcohol. They couldn’t stay away from a drug. They had to have a drug. But you know the way that you solve the problem? Don’t have them. If you don’t have a taste for alcohol — I remember, when I was going to school, college, I had a friend, he hated the taste of Scotch, hated it. It was like… HANNITY: Yes. TRUMP: But he wanted to develop it because, socially, he thought it was a good thing. He would sit down with the bankers and all the — at the Wharton School of Finance, they want to have dinners with bankers, right? That’s a big thing. And they want to — he developed the taste for Scotch. And by the time he finished, he ended up being a very bad alcoholic. HANNITY: Yes. TRUMP: He’s — I mean, 20, 25 years later, he ended up being an alcoholic. And he couldn’t stay away. I say the way you stay away, just don’t drink. Just don’t have it. If you don’t have drugs, if you don’t experience early on, you’re not going to have a need for it. You’re not going to have an addiction. If you don’t drink alcohol, you’re not going to have an addiction. You’re not going to have this insatiable urge to have a drink. And I say that to people with your children. They ask me, what do you think and, children, what do you tell them? I say, no drugs, no alcohol. I also say, no cigarettes. Don’t have the cigarettes. Don’t have cigarettes. Don’t have them. I have friends that can’t stop smoking. If they never had a cigarette before, they’d have no problem. When I look at a friend that can’t stop smoking, I don’t understand why it’s hard to stop. There’s smoke all over the place. The fact is, if you never had a cigarette — I never had a cigarette. I have no urge to smoke. But if you are, you get addicted. It has something, and you just can’t stop.

I remember when Reagan's age was an issue when he was 68, now we have two sh!t house rat crazy octagenarians running. A pox on both their parties. The ship of state is burning, its hull is full of holes, the steering is out, we are in shark infested waters and heading directly into rocks that will rip us apart and you fools are arguing over which senile captain should be at the helm. The answer is neither. I have to disagree with you here with regard to Trump: while Biden may have been a product of our two party system, Trump isn’t. He is outside the system, an anomaly, the product of populism. The GOP would have preferred an establishment type candidate like Rubio in 2016 or Haley in 2024. But the base chose Trump. Do we doubt he had that conversation with the boat maker in SC? If not, then he was relaying a discussion he had about why it's bad to mandate electric vehicles when they aren't appropriate for the situation. The shark thing is apparently in the news (I learned from Bunny's thread) so in typical Trump fashion, that came to his mind during his discussion with the boat guy. Then after the boats he talked about the downside of EV long haul trucks. So a consistent theme. The MIT thing, yeah, his narcissism has always led him to a false association there. And parts of the shark bit are clearly rambling. But in general, nowhere near Biden pooping his pants, staring into space, then mumbling "anyway..."

Yeah that's a sharp prediction, given that he was talking about EV boats. Only a genius can predict he's talking about EV boats. Anyway, I think he made the whole conversation up. 1) there is no EV mandate so it's dumb to talk about 2) I don't know sh1t about EV boats but I quick Google proves that they don't sink. There is no chance a successful boat salesman tells him this. 3) No way the boat guy told him that's a good question because it's a really really dumb question.
