Went out on a high note at UM. Wish this had been his last coaching gig, but the NCAA smoked him out and frankly, with the way the portal works and all these disheartening changes to college football, its hard on me as a fan. Dunno what being caught in the thick of it is like.

Love him or hate him the man is a great football coach from a family of coaches.  Chargers need a HC like this.  Finally.

When I watch his interviews not sure why anyone would dislike him, he never really says much and always goes out of his way to compliment his players and staff.

Oh gee let's see.   He's cheated..multiple times.  The depth of which hasn't been fully revealed yet.  He held "going to the NFL" over Michigan's head year after year after year.  Even after he said LAST YEAR that he wouldn't do it again.  yet--he did it again.   He is drama drama and more drama.   Charger fans will learn this soon enough.  That's just off the top of my head.    Is he a good coach?  Well I can't say he isn't considering he just won the natty...but I'm glad to see him gone

Media driven drama.  Players and staff loved him. Just glad Chargers actually have a real HC now. Results are all that matters.

He’ll have early success and then overstay his welcome. He’ll be gone in 5 years or less. He’s the Larry Brown of football. Or Billy Martin. Great coach but eventually people get sick of him or he gets sick of them or whatever.

Soooo...you think the media wont drive the drama there?   They will.

I will however agree that results are all that matters.

I've heard many ex NFL players say, if you ain't cheating you ain't trying.

My point being, they all do it to some degree. It's just that the ones who don't get caught are always the biggest finger pointers when their opponents get caught. Show me a defensive back that doesn't grab a wide receiver's jersey and I'll show you an out of work defensive back.

I lived there for 8 years.  Nobody in LA cares about football coaches.  They really don`t care that much about football as opposing teams take over the stadium from Charger and Rams fans.

 

If they win they will care a little, but not about Harbaugh, just to be seen at a game.

Show me the guy at Alabama (Georgia, Ohio State, wherever) that traveled to dozens of games and filmed opponents sidelines/signals. Or somehow ended up on the sidelines at a game filming signals across the field.  The cheating michigan has done is heinous and way beyond in game stuff. They had no business being in the playoff.

As a kid, I never felt I had to choose because nobody in my family went to college. Eventually, when I did, I went to Wayne State so I still didn't have to choose.

Michigan is a leftoid elitist school, certainly more than MSU, so I probably shouldn't like them. I've known this since I was in high school but the thing is, the entire time, I've been too invested and can't quit them. Until five minutes ago, they were the flagship school of my state.

My dad went to undergrad at MSU, law school at U of M.  So I have a teensey bit of love for U of M.  But it's small.

I graduated from MSU, so that's where my loyalties will always lie.
