It's because the white players are being kept down because coaches at the high school and college levels care more about athleticism.  They care more because it's all about being more athletic than the other team, so that they can win and keep their jobs.  They don't actually care about the players, only their own money.

You think grown men should take advantage of kids and young adults to further their own goals instead of helping develop the players?  After all, isn't the definition of "coach" to develop and improve someone else?

It makes sense that if the higher percentage of black players is a result of talent, then probably that same talent should translate to a higher percentage of black players at the coaching level, unless you want to argue that whites are smarter and thus make better coaches (which, by the way, is the reasoning that racists used for decades as an explanation as to why there were so few black coaches).
