Gotta say I expected the racism and sexism and general ugliness but I expected it to really start a few weeks from now once the polling is even clearer that Kamala has pulled comfortably ahead. But it’s begun early.

The inference is that she is unqualified. Thats what conservatives mean when they use the term.

Defend the man all you want. If you think this sort of garbage will fly with the majority of voters, I believe you’re sorely mistaken.

I'm not defending anything per se, I'm merely pointing out that she was a DEI hire.

I also understand that Trump needs to tread carefully on this subject, because low-IQ voters will interpret this statement of truth as a racist statement.

Regarding her qualifications:  Biden thought she was the most qualified from the pool of black women.  That's a pretty small population in the US, though.  The odds of such a person being the most qualified overall are pretty low.  And given her historical worthlessness as VP, spending most of her day squestered in her office playing solitaire rather than let her out in public to say some word salad gibberish, I'd say he chose... poorly.

Not accusing you in particular but there is a pattern that occurs whenever Trump does or says something truly awful- we are lectured that we are freaks who spend way too much time on politics. Happens every time.

YOU are by far the worst.  It's not even close.  It's clear to me politics is everything to you.  Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.  You have such a low self awareness you don't even see it.  Get a life man.   Something

Day 1

Can't believe some weirdos in here tried to say this wasn't a good interview.  The black crowd loved it.

@thegeneral You decide.  Nasty?

Masterful response "nasty" aside though.   And the crowd loved it.

These are questions I assume many black people would have of him. This is his opportunity to answer. I think it’s smart for him to do these, sounding whiny aside.

Realtim definitely has that idea that everything is a needle mover and it just isn't.

On the flip side you have guys like Overkill, peefoam, HT, and the like who just vomit back up everything on Twitter as if it is all true and all meaningful.

Dude as I type this I am in the process of opening up two new businesses. Then I am going to Newport Beach for a late lunch. Tonight I plan to go out on my boat and enjoy the sunset. I’m betting my life is better than yours.

You have problems with simple questions.  Nasty yes or no?  If not nasty describe that question with one word.

That, and somebody might point out that his VP pick is a junior congressman who’s been in office for 18 months.

Be careful saying stuff like this. You start measuring yourself against others here and calling yourself a "life winner" in the same way that doofus Horseman did and next thing you'll be on your 5th username here still typing nonsense because your life is considerably emptier than you pretend it is.

Hah I do get overly optimistic at times because I believe in the general goodness of people, especially Americans. I don’t like to be disappointed on that score.

That being said, I sincerely think this latest event will have an effect on the election.

There is a better than 75% chance, based on your history, that some or all of that is a flat out lie.  You simply lie, a lot.

“Qualified” is just a subjective term that DEI advocates like to throw out.  The term they should use is “eligible”. Yes, she meets all the requirements to fulfill office.  “Qualified” is a huge range of attributes,  it’s not a specific benchmark like you’re using it.  Biden initially isolated his choices based on sex and color.  That is the very essence of a DEI hire.

It won't because:

1.) The people Trump is trying to drive to the voting booth are exactly the type of people who will love what he is saying here.

2.) You can already see people here doing the work of trying to gaslight it all to people.

3.) Too many people in this country anymore just vote for the letter behind the name and not the actual content of what the person is and does. Happens both ways

You’re a little too obvious with the “ax” and “colored”. You need to be a little more subtle if you want to reel them in.

No 😂. Is this a birthday party for him or something. This jackass has said all this shet about people for years, he’s a big tough guy, he gets big boy questions.

Does he want his favorite color and tells us about your golf game?

The worst thing Biden did to Harris was make the comment about what his VP pick would be. Because on paper you could look at her rise through the political ranks and the various positions she held and say "Yeah okay...she's qualified." But because Biden said what he did it puts her under a microscope that is honestly unfair to what she accomplished in her life to this point.

I mean- no one seems to be railing about the lack of qualifications that Vance has for the VP spot and it's clear that Harris has a better political resume than Vance.

What are the qualifications to be VP?

There are two components to VP selection for me- the first is the aspect of what do they give you ticket wise? Do they give you something that helps smooth over some perceived weakness you might have to the general electorate (think Cheney to Bush or Biden to Obama or Pence to Trump really)? Do they help give you a push in a state that might be needed to win (If I'm right that Shapiro will be Kamala's VP this kind of fits that)?

The second aspect is do they have anything in their background that shows that they could potentially be a leader and form necessary coalitions and help build connections that you will need in order to be President.

Obviously both of those things are hugely subjective.

Now the other thing for me would be- if we want to make a case that there are no real qualifications for VP then that seems to indicate- who the hell cares if Kamala was a "DEI hire"? If there is no qualification necessary- then pick whoever the hell you want as long as you don't pick someone like James Stockdale.

And TBF- I'm not arguing against the idea of "qualified"/"eligible" that you are drawing between. I get what you are saying.
