Why would a black person vote for Trump

Recommended Posts

https://twitter.com/BidenHQ/status/1791964079101206859

Trump claimed over the weekend he's done more for blacks than Abraham Lincoln.  That's just absurd, I hope we can all agree.

But then I was thinking ok what has he done for black people, and I couldn't think of anything.  I googled and this is all I could find: https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/trump-campaign-press-release-fact-president-trumps-policies-have-delivered-for-black

Meanwhile we know that he was instrumental in striking down affirmative action and reproductive rights, talked about shooting BLM protestors, and has a long history of questionable positions on race.

What am I missing here?

Trump was rather beneficial for the AA community, but it was not some miraculous delivery....the problem here is the stark contrast in the life of the average AA under Biden, and the stark difference in such a short time between these two is something they just cant ignore

Black students turned their backs on Biden yesterday at their graduation as Biden stumbled through his prepared speech about how America hates them and they are being killed  in the streets.

I saw that.....no breaking of anything...no shouting death to anyone or anything....a simple and poignant demonstration of dissatisfaction.....

To all of you who support BLM and the other terrorists out there just being destructive....THIS is what a peaceful protest actually looks like

What Trump policy(s) was beneficial under Trump that Biden no longer supports?

I'm trying to get to Trump's statement that he has done more for blacks than Lincoln.  Would assume then that Biden reversed Trump's policies too.  Can you name them?

If it's just a feeling then that's fine too.  Would mean that Trump is of course lying like he always does, and it's just inflation.

I think it was one or two students, who supported palestine and congo.  Otherwise he got applause and talked about Morehouse men leading the country.

I am not aware of any policy under Trump that Biden does not support.

I do not care about Trump claiming anything about Lincoln, as I did not care when Biden said he was Puerto Rican....or any of his other stuff, how nice you suddenly care though....

If the AA community feels they were better off, and are voting based on that....you need to take it up with them, I am not telling them how to feel.....

No, Trump is being rather unusually supported as you have noted......do you have a theory as to why?  Or do you think when they talk about life being better under Trump they are just lying?

My theory is inflation, which I believe is your theory too.  Inflation defeats presidents.

I would concur with this assertion.  Biden created the mechanism for his own demise and now he gets to enjoy the fruits of economic mismanagement.

Biden told black students yesterday that America has failed them and that they have to be 10x better just to get a fair shot. Maybe black people are a little tired of this type of talk?

Well obviously Biden did not create inflation, but it happened under him so he owns it.

Create is a strong word......he ignored it for certain, tried to gaslight us about it...lied profusely about it and lost precious time to mute it..... then he implemented policy that threw gasoline on it and now wants to lie that he "inherited" the problem....instead of dealing with it forthrightly.

He allowed this harm to hit them and they rightly hate him for it

Look at this racist wondering why black people don't fall in line with him and his racist Party.

Thanks for confirming, yet again, that racism never left the Democrat Party and is alive and well.

I simply asked why black people would vote for Trump.  You have no answer, so you call me a racist.  Go away troll.

I do have an answer and even posted it and the video link.

But you're a f'n racist, so you're going to have to do better than "Why don't black people fall in line?" if you want to try and change.

Much as I detest Trump, and hope he loses, the question is offensive. Black people are not monolithic. Some of them are conservative. Some of them agree with Trump on immigration, or nationalism, or his economic policy, or all of it.

Also, not every black person votes based primarily on the question, “what have you done for black people?” You would never assume a white person votes based on “what have you done for white people?” (Well, @Cdub100 might, but most wouldn’t.)

My question is in the context of Trump saying he's done more for black people than the man that freed them from slavery.  I'm simply asking what did he do for them.  Same as asking why would any demographic vote for him, what did he do to help that demographic.

The answer so far is nothing.

Well, Gutterboy is a f'n racist, that's why he started this thread.

Racism has never Democrat Party and Democrats.  It's alive and well.  One of your knows liberal buddies literally started a patently racist thread about it.

Huh?  Several posters have literally posted why, but you're so f'n racist you won't accept anything other than "Black people need to fall in line".

I would agree that Trump has not done more for blacks than Abraham Lincoln.  He has certainly done more for them than any President in the last 50 years, possibly longer but I am not a presidential scholar.

Sigh. @GutterBoy is not a racist. I had  a problem with his question but now I understand the context a little better. He was responding to Trump and Trump is the one who is racist. But I think it’s a fool’s errand to attempt to analyze Trump’s comments too closely.

Your views on the modern day Democratic Party remain skewed and inaccurate. Rather than attack specific ideas you disagree with, you seem to prefer labels: Marxist, racist, etc. it’s lazy and wrong.

Sorry, Tim, but I'm as right as rain on this.  I get that you don't want to face it - after all, you're a card-carrying member of the Democrat Party - because the truth hurts.  Your party is the sole reason as to why black people were treated unfairly now and in the past.  You and your party have simply moved them from a physical plantation to a virtual one.

Own it you will and own it you must.

Trump’s incompetent and inactive response to the Covid-19 virus over the the first several months affected black peoples worse than any other group in this country:

I'll pass.  You have no desire to know the truth.  You can look up all the things Trump did for AA's if you so desire.  The fact you are unaware of even one shows you were sleeping for his entire term as President.  Now you come begging for us to cure your ignorance?  GTFO.  Why are you posting as GB again?  12th ban finally lifted?

Classic Strike.  Makes statement then when challenged runs away.

I have looked up Trump's policies during his term and I linked one in my first post.  It's not a good track record, certainly not best record in 50 years.

Now run away.
