I guess in some cases its entertainment?   Look at the Trump trial thread. 94 frickin' pages.  Squish is watching every second and posting all his twitter feeds about it minute by minute.   I can't understand the utter dedication these guys put into this.   But many sure do.

I do note that DeNiro's points were less than cogent and the points made by the many angry detractors were emotion based rather than well reasoned factual arguments.

I don't find it weird to be entertained but I find it weird to take it so seriously.  I'm talking about the people like DeNiro and the nutjobs that go to rallies.

Which, of course, is absurd considering we're still here after a 1st Trump Presidency.  One could argue that things were actually better under Trump (sans Covid) than they are under Biden and the world is a far worse place under Biden than it ever was under Trump.  In fact, that's not even debatable at this point.
