I don't think that is what happened,  I think Lewis pulled in people he felt could help the flagging paper.....it was the filth who work there that only saw "white men".....instead of people who could help.

The truth sometimes hurts. The people he brought in to turn it around ARE white men. If he thought he could do it with someone else he likely would.   It probably hurts the feelings of the bleeding heart liberals there.

Maybe. I do not presume that they need to be.....

There could be people with the skills, and a variety of inconsequential factors...... which could help the paper.   Its the racists who work there who focus on the skin color and gender instead of ability.
