I've been hearing some chatter that Deneric Prince has been getting starter work over CEH while Pacheco is sidelined in training camp.

Is Deneric the potential number 2?

I don't think he cares what you think.   But history of intolerant people usually trends to to show the ignorance of the intolerant over time.   I think it's good he's showing support for people who feel like they must justify their existence to folks like you.

Agreed.  But D Prince could be the potential rb2, but I don’t think so if CEH is healthy, and CEH isn’t very good.

All the talk on chiefs followers on Twitter is that the battle is for RB #3 behind Pacheco and CEH.

Deneric Prince ... '23 undrafted free agent out of Tulsa. Played 2 games last year - no snaps. Never heard of him til this thread. Thought CEH was clear #2.

I will say Andy Reid doesn't care about draft stock ... CEH 1st rd, Pacheco 7th rd. Whoever's best, plays.

They'll sign a veteran before the season starts. They aren't going into the season with this pathetic group behind Pacheco.

I would agree here. They will probably sign someone after cuts start. They know what they have in CEH, not the best option, but still roster worthy for a breather. I never heard of Prince either until just now.

The Chiefs are not wasting free agent money on a RB.  If they are going to spend free agent money, it'll be on pash rush.  And don't sleep on Louis Rees-Zammit, dammit.  They also have Keanotay Ingram on the roster.

I flagged Prince last year in my dynasty league as an UDFA.  I thought he was undervalued.  Then he ended up getting a bunch of training camp buzz last year, and now the same thing is happening.  I think if the drumbeat continues into late August, Prince might emerge as a handcuff to Pacheco.

I'm in an extremely deep dynasty league, so guys like this are in play.

I just watched some tweet videos of Zammit.  He's got a ways to go in pass pro, and missing some holes he should be hitting as a rb in the few I watched.  He definitely has a ways to go, but could make an impact on special teams.

That kind of leads me to believe they would view Prince and Ingram as the options behind Pacheco and CEH as the 1 and 2.

"missing some holes" is an understatement.....  dude has no shot in nfl backfield.  Special teams and returns yes, we'll see.

Correct.  Big Red said Toney is very "comfortable" playing out of there.  As of now I would only expect this to be a "package" like usage for Toney.  Another wrinkle in the multi set / look offense for Mahomes to operate out of.

eventually this is likely Pachecos fate, though hes still fairly young.   My guess is hes at least got a couple more years til this becomes a concern
