With regard to the thread title: I suspect the liberals around here are feeling more confident these days because we believe that Trump is going to lose the election. I certainly believe this now. 

Of course we need to be cautious. It’s still going to be close and anything could change. Who knows what might happen the next week or month? But for the moment at least we’re getting excited. 
 

If Kamala wins don’t expect me to run any victory laps. My main reaction will be relief. And then I’ll do what I always do: try to reach out my hand in friendship with whoever wants it on the other side and see in what ways we can find common ground. (I will do the same if Trump wins.)
