Caleb Williams is the real deal.

Recommended Posts

He's not good under some pressure and noticed that his last season at USC, had a decent first half last night but hit a wall when he got pressure the 2nd half.

Fields this year is getting pressured just as much as Caleb.  I think he is 1% lower pressure rate than Caleb sees through 2 week.

Fields has a nice chemistry going with Pickens and is on the money with throws to him. He had a amazing throw to Pickens yesterday that got called back cause of a hold.

What made Caleb look like the next Mahomes at USC was his running out of the pocket and being able to hit a wr on a dime if he had too. The Bears are taking that away making him a pure pocket passer.

Well, at this point, the important thing for Bears fans is moreso to watch his growth, vs. the total stats overall.

I'm glad they played the first two games against solid to above average D-Lines.

That's not true. It's called ability to do it when you need to. But being in the pocket is preferable. He's only 2 games into his career. Let.up on the guy.

Oh it's true and why he looked great at USC, They should cater their offense to his style like the Ravens do for Lamar, seems like it might be Caleb too that wants to be just a pocket QB so maybe not all on the Bears.

He has talked many times about how he takes pride in moving around in the pocket since he was first drafted. And the coaching have said how they need to let him play his style while adjusting to the NFL.. Not sure where you are getting you take from. But, we'll see.

The announcers said something last night that he wants to prove to be a pocket passer,Probably scared of injuries as well if he runs to much.

I follow the team locally. National announcers are given general notes before the games. I don't think they are necessarily wrong, but also not completely accurate . They say things generically.

Williams has been known to be great in the pocket for a young player. He just had an absolute shlt online at USC.

He's decent in the pocket but a little pressure he folds like last night, seen it his last year at USC as well. It's early and he may turn out to be okay with more playing time.

Incorrect. Even the national announcers praised his ability to step up in the pocket under extreme constant pressure. .

Ok. Well we both watched the game and saw things differently. But the Bears oline blocking was so bad there is no telling WTF was going on in the end.

Why?

He has not lived up to the hype.   He still has time to grow though.  He might be the next Bryce Young.  We will see.

He has lived up to hype. People who know football that is. He's been getting better by the week. Since early summer.

I was mostly talking "fantasy" but he's not pooping the bed.  I think in the end he will be legit.

Oh hell. He was cheap in my auction league. All rookie QBs always are.

I drafted him as a backup QB in my main league.  I still have high hopes he turns it on after a few weeks.

For fantasy he’s a drop in redraft leagues 12 teams or smaller.

He’s been ok. Not great, not terrible. A few bad throws for sure.

Chicago Defense has been the star.

2nd half he did and had like 3 ints.

He had 2. That's kinda normal for rookies.

Jayden has looked better.

Wow. You really don't follow football. Which is ok.

You should compare the defensive lines of Tennessee and Houston to the NYG and Tampa Bay.

Houston is nasty. Jayden has looked better so far. It’s only two games, we’ll see over the course of the season. Jayden is so slender and runs a lot so I expect him to get knocked out.

Would def rather have Jayden in FF in redraft. Caleb is waiver wire fodder.

I think long term he should be decent, but not seeing CJ Stroud level here which is fine.

I don't disagree this year. I have Daniels in my dynasty.

Stroud was a definite outlier if you compare though as a rookie. To any rookie.

I’ve yet to see/hear anyone say differently, but since you “follow football”…

Caleb Williams is being lauded as a can't-miss talent ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

With his golden arm, dazzling mobility and flair for the dramatic, the USC product has been tipped for greatness since his high school days. He's a Heisman winner, a media darling and one of the most-hyped quarterback prospects in recent memory.

So who is David Suggs? Some schlock writer?

And how is his character a concern? Do you even follow the Bears?

Look what we have here, seafoam is arguing like a woke leftist.

My point is, nobody could live up to the hype that the media gave Caleb Williams.

You are a dope.

You just posted a link to an article from April that's not hyping him. Just the opposite. I myself have criticized him prior to that as well

But he has proven wrong ALL that crap while he has been in the NFL.

Now show me his character issues while on the Bears.
