For an 81 year old the combination of the two is a plausible explanation (particularly if we was running a fever, which he may have been).

Case in point.  You’re looking at a chronic issue as acute. This episode wasn’t in a vacuum. It's a comment to the fact that we are still litigating Biden and his cognitive issues. People on the right wanted him to drop out because of it. He did and there is still complaining. People on the left thought there was no way the Dems win with him after that final performances and wanted someone else. They got it and we still discuss it.

 

I hope Biden enjoys whatever life has for him after he drops from the public eye as a government figure. Same way I would for any candidate.

I agree it’s sad that it devolved to that. Unfortunately, in order to allow proper reflection, sometimes we must frame people’s stupidity in a way that includes analyzing the past.

No they thought he couldn’t get re-elected and they convinced him of it. They never thought he can’t handle being President now. And again, please address how a mentally incompetent President gets those hostages home? All reports are that he was behind the entire thing, with hours spent on careful and delicate diplomacy. Please explain to me how he did this because apparently I’m too irrational to figure it out.

Elon Musk may indeed know more than me about nuclear energy but he certainly didn’t demonstrate that last night. Nonetheless he is a genius, and I am not, so I certainly wouldn’t put it past him. But despite his genius he appears to be an idiot as far as climate change is concerned, I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that Donald Trump does not know more than me about nuclear energy.
