kilroy69 1,251 Posted August 16, 2024 Harbaugh is a bleeding heart liberal that is for sure. That being said Kaepernick either turned him down or just did not respond to the offer. Because he gets more PR if he plays the victim. He wants people to believe or has deluded himself into thinking the NFL is really going to bring him on as a player "“We’re still training, still pushing,” Kaepernick told Sky Sports News earlier this month. “So hopefully – we’ve just got to get one of these team owners to open up. The media make such a big deal out of the fact he made it to a superbowl but never mention the fact that the NFL changed the read option rule the year after and he was never able to adjust. The year he went to the superbowl the QB was not part of the play on the read option. If a defender even breathed on the QB it was a penalty. The year after that they changed it to the QB WAS part of the play and he could be hit during the read option. That single play was instrumental in his game. It caused teams to spy on him and leave open holes where the spy was.

Cdub100 3,910 Posted August 16, 2024 Despite doing so much for Kaepernick. I'm not sure why white people keep trying to help a guy who clearly hates us.

His birth mother was white and he was adopted and raised by a white couple, so there is no evidence that he "clearly hates" white people.

squistion 2,203 Posted August 16, 2024 Reading the article at the link it doesn't specifically say the Harbaugh offered Kaepernick a coaching staff position, just that he "reached out" to him, which sounds like that was just a preliminary discussion which for whatever reason didn't go any further. The game he played is not the same as it is now. The cheat code that allowed his success was patched by the nfl. Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said Colin Kaepernick will not be joining the franchise as part of its coaching staff. “I love Colin very much, but he won’t be on the coaching staff, which is set for this year. And he won’t play on the roster either,” Harbaugh said.
