Zero Rb strategists unite!

I will not let Satan tempt me again, like last year with Mr. reliable Chubb in rd 2. Must stay strong! Got my position last night... Lucky No. 6.  Been mock drafting all day and night. Feeling good about:

Jefferson, Olave, Collins .... Jefferson is obvious. Settled on Olave after much soul searching over Adams and London. Collins being there varies - sometimes it's Adams, London, or last but not least Metcalf. Happy with any.

Shotgun next three rounds Rb, Rb, Rb... guys like Walker (I pray), Stevenson, Z. White, Najee, B. Robinson, etc. Kick the Te and Qb cans down the road to rounds 7 and 9.

What are my fellow Zero Rb strategists thinking?

KWIII was my top RB target after starting out with 3 WR....got him at 4.5 in .5 ppr.  He is a RB1 for me while those other names are not.  Najee would be on my list, not high on the volume RBs on shitty offenses (Zamir & Rhamondre)....would have Connor in there as option in that range, Robinson not bad either rd 8 or so.  Walker very strong anchor as zero RB.  Early to mid 4th you should be OK but never know....GL.

Not a bad plan but it's not zero rb. Zero rb is a past failed attempt that then brought up "hero rb" strategy. Zero rb was like waiting until the 5th, 6th, 7th round to take an rb.That was a failure and I capitalized on others doing it.

It really depends what the draft state is and if its PPR or not.

For me, the 2/3 rounds depends who fall to me.  The issue is in general, zero RB was used because there was less risk in WR than picking RB (it was also in part that people used to pick a ton of RB early rounds, so you could snipe good value in WR while they all took RB).  This year, there are a bunch of high APD WR that carry similar risk to a RB pick imo. London, Harrison, and nacua (to a lesser degree) all come with some inherent risk attached in that people are assuming they will do well without any real stats to back it up.  London is the assumed #1 but has a new qb, a system that still has 2 RB they will feed, and has never thrived being WR1 so far.  Harrison is a rookie, and while talented, still has yet to play a down - and people are playing for his ceiling.  His floor is easily around the guys going in the 7-8th rounds.  Therefore, if Adams/Olave are gone at ADP18 I might consider taking a RB round 2 and going for a deebo, evans, pittman type round 3 instead.

However, for the sake of forecasting we'll assume you get olave R2 [PPR]:  

Round 1 at pick 6 you get one of WR3-5 on your list.  Assuming McCaffrey goes before you it then just depends if breece or bjan get drafted.

Round 2 you are in the range of any of the guys you mentioned - pretty much WR10-11 range most likely.  If there are more zero RB in your draft though, this could be pushed to WR13-14.  Its really up to you if you're willing to accept that value in R2.

R3 you're at ADP30 - which usually nets you RB11-16 range.  This group is: (Achane(19-31), Jacobs(22-39), Cook(26-41), Mixon(26-47), R White(29-38), Kamara(34-49), Walker(35-50))

R4 you're at ADP42 - which usually nets RB16--20.  This group is (Kamara(34-49), Walker(35-50), Swift(50-74), Stevenson(51-82),

R5 you're at ADP54- which usually nets RB19-24. This group is: (Stevenson(51-82), Jones(53-70), Conner(54-68), Montgomery(58-65), Z White(56-82), Harris(59-85))

R6 you're at ADP66- which usually nets RB23-27. This group is: (Z White(56-82), Harris(59-85), Mostert (60-89), Pollard (76-92), J Williams (64-116))

Again, it really just depends who falls to me.  I am willing to run with guys in any of the R4-6 guys as my RB2-3 so I will keep an eye out to see if any good value drops to me for other WR, TE or QB depending on league scoring.  And honestly there are still some startable RB's in the next rounds like Moss, Edwards, Ford (at least 8 weeks), dowdle/elliott etc. 

For example, a recent 6 pick draft I had netted: Jefferson, Adams, Jacobs, Walker, L Jackson, Engram, Pollard, D Johnson, Hopkins, Edwards etc.

5th pick 14 team non ppr, no way will I’m going no rb. 

I hope to have 3rbs, and Kupp, And Rice after the 5th rd.  

9th pick 14 team ppr,  I’m going wr early and often.  

Polecatt as been preaching that stir strategy for a while, going for it.  Hope to have 3wrs, and two Rbs after the 5th rd,   I’m new to this league, I only know three of the 13 others, so I’m not so sure what to expect.

to clarify,  I'd say he gets no more carries than a regular backup RB.     Technically if there is no backup Walker is getting all of them, so hes getting enough to keep Walker fresh.  but not much more than that.

I have to decide whether to start Corum or Ray Davis, Bills for Week 1 in one of my money leagues. My other RB is Jahmyr Gibbs.

Blasphemy!  Have faith my son - Zero Rb will lead you to the promise land. 

Interestingly, only 1 out of the top 5 Rbs last year actually finished top ten (McCaff).  4 out of the top 5 Wrs finished top ten (Jefferson odd man out).

Not true every year, but it's rare for more top Rbs to do it than Wrs. Injury and under performance wreak havoc.

Sorry for the slow response. Rams plays Lions and Bills play the Cardinals. I didn't end up with best RB depth in that keeper league.

Anyone else actually go zero Rbs? Post them teams!  With my 6th overall pick:

1, 2, 3: Jefferson, Olave, Collins ... just as mock drafts indicated.

4, 5, 6: Stevenson, Jones, Z. White ... really wanted Walker, but that's ok. 3 starters, I'm good.

Later Ferguson, and Tua ... league scoring favors big passing over running Qbs, so thrilled with Tua.

Ya can't spell C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N-S-H-I-P without "balls"
