I pay them cash. Legally I’m allowed to do so without reporting it if the total sum doesn’t exceed $600 a year. It never does.

You track every illegal you pay for every job?  Calling BS on that too.

Many, not all, of theses illegals and migrants are poisoning the blood of our country. They gotta go.

Los Angeles certainly wouldn't have had such a shortage of water if it didn't have to support all the illegals it has.

I find it entertaining that "slavery is bad", yet we're ok with essentially doing the same thing (just calling it a different name), with Hispanics.  Back in the day, black folks were put to work on farms/plantations by property owners and given crappy housing, food, and a community.  Today, the government is giving crappy housing, food, and a community, so that business owners can get cheap labor.

Yeah, I know... (it's (D)ifferent), these people are getting paid.  LOL  Yeah, they're getting paid, less money (which is illegal), than the going rate of minimum wage and on top of that, the business owners don't even have to pay taxes for them.  It's slavery... just called "undocumented workers".

Democrats always looking for ways to dehumanize non-whites, and here, they keep calling conservatives "white supremacists".  Go figure.

You think they are getting less than minimum wage???  If they are doing construction or any kind of labor which requires skill, they are getting mich more than minimum wage.

The farm workers are.  The construction workers and what have you, they're getting less than what the going rate was... that's why they're the ones working and not American's.

So you would rather pay an illegal to save time than pay an American to do the job

Why does one want to save time?  is it because time is money?  If so, and I think it is, then Tim is yet again completely full of fecal matter.

I likeTim inadvertently advocating there is no such thing as malum in se crime, because, you know, he just does not feel it and he does not feel it so that he can feel morally superior to those who do respect the law.

$50/hr.   ROFLMAO!!!!!

LOL at Tim paying Illegal Dayworkers $50 per hour.  For one we know he would have to get that expenditure approved by several folks in his office as he does not have spending authority, and there is no way those people are going to approve spending 3 times the going rate.

Maybe the $50/hr is for some bonus sex trafficking action.

I had not considered that.  You may be right.  I could see Tim dressing up in his authentic Cisco kid costume and paying dayworkers to dress up like Pancho so that they can reenact episodes of the show and then finish it with a happy ending.       Oh Cisco...... Ohhhh Pancho!*

*Reference is only funny if you are really old and were raised on the T.V.

Oh the homoerotic energy is definitely strong in that clip.  Not to the level of the "Playing With The Boys" volleyball scene in Top Gun, but it's up there.

So....  What other ghey stuff were you raised on?

OK this is wrong on so many levels that I feel I must explain further, so here goes.

The ONLY time that I ever hire people I assume to be undocumented (I don’t ask) is once or twice a year. Let’s say somebody dumps a bunch of crap in the alley at one of the centers I manage. Usually it’s furniture like an old sofa. So I drive to Home Depot a few blocks away, find a couple of guys with a truck, ask them to follow me. When we get to my center I tell them I want the sofa removed. One of them looks at it and says “$100”. That’s about what I figured. I pay the guy out of my wallet. I don’t ask for anyone’s permission. Ten minutes later the sofa is gone.

You do the math on how much I paid him per hour.

Now in legal terms I have hired an independent contractor. So long as I don’t pay him in excess of $600 per year, I don’t have to report it. Since I only do this sort of thing a few times a year and I don’t think I’ve ever used the same guy twice, it’s never been an issue.

Hopefully this explains everything. Those of you who called me a liar can now kindly fock off.

I do want to stress though that just because I personally don’t pay undocumented people “under the table”, or below minimum wage, doesn’t mean I see anything wrong with either. If I was in certain businesses, such as roofing, flooring, general contractor, restaurants, etc., then of course I would hire these folks and pay them in cash. How else would I stay competitive?

This is why I continue to assert that there is not a single person reading this that doesn’t benefit greatly from the presence of undocumented immigrants in this country. If you don’t think you do then you’re just lying to yourself.

Can't keep up with your stances, Tim ChokesIt

Then let me make it real simple for you: I am a capitalist. I believe, as much as possible, in unfettered free market capitalism, because it is both the most effective system and because it’s morally right. Socialism is well meaning but doesn’t work; Communism is evil.

All of my stances on immigration, trade, minimum wage, etc., are rooted in this conviction.

Of course.

Its not a huge issue though. The market adjusts for it one way or the other.

It didn't before Minimum Wage laws were passed. Workers in certain industries were exploited by employers who banded together and agreed to hold wages down.

This is not historically accurate. It was the unions that busted the practice you’re talking about, not the government. Minimum wage came along as a reaction from the government to Union victories that were already taking place.

If we filled those beds and then released them all into Cuba it would be like a reverse Mariel boatlift.
