Don't use terms that embellish what it really means.  Reason 8000 the libs got their a$$es kicked last week.   It's not my fault you can't stay on topic.

You think Reproductive Rights means Americans' rights to fock and have babies.

"Idiocracy" is playing out right here before our very eyes.

🤣

100% false.

It's amazing how easily you fall for something that is so easily searchable, which applies to many of the things you believe.

Kind of like all that research you've done to form your belief that the Holocaust was a hoax.

That's you making something up (as usual) and attributing that to <insert current name of poster you're talking to here> and then arguing that <insert current name of poster you're talking to here> said that and then patting yourself on the back for really "showing <insert current name of poster you're talking to here>" on the thing you just made up that no one said.

If only there was a term for that.  🤔

No, I'm addressing BrahmaBull's assertion that it means focking and having babies when in reality it's about the legal right to make decisions about one's reproductive life. That means contraception, fertility treatment, abortion and access to information about reproduction, childbirth and sterilization.

It has nothing to do with the right to fock.

🤣

I have some serious issues with this list, and none of them have anything to do with the faith of those pictured. Who the hell thinks Dakota Johnson or Kristen Stewart is more beautiful than Margot Robbie?

I know, the order is screwed up, but the substance is there to be gleaned.

What? Dolph Schayes, hall of famer.

(I would also mention two all time coaches, Red Auerbach and Larry Brown, but I won’t because they’re jerks both of them.)

That is why I said this century.  In the 50's God's chosen people were represented and some stayed relevant into the 80's.

ETA I missed that you wrote 21st century for the NBA. Well Ok then.

No worries.  Historically in the early years Jews were well represented.  And of Course we also have Commissioners to consider as well as owners.

Reasonable concerns:

- Tariffs -- If implemented as Trump has stated, would probably cause a mass disruption in our supply chain and prices.

- Mass deportation -- Also a mass disruption, economic issues with losing workers, civil rights concerns.

- Elon streamlining government -- Could introduce a huge number of (former) government employees into the workforce, many of which may not have (government) skills which easily translate to the civilian workplace.

- RFK's influence on health agencies -- Same as above.

- End of gender affirming care -- I'm not really sure how this would manifest, for adults anyway.  I could see laws against medically transing kids, which I (and most rational people) would view as a good thing, but some like @squistionmight view that as a negative.

- End of naturalized citizenship for Dreamers -- Highly unlikely as it is specifically enumerated in the Constitution.  I might remove this one.

- Environment and climate change efforts -- Trump has vowed to "drill baby drill" which, along with a general disinterest in pursuing green initiatives, makes it likely that we'll invest less in this area.

- Abortion -- Long shot that Congress would propose a ban, Trump would sign it, and SCOTUS would approve it

- SCOTUS -- Trump could potentially set 2 or 3 more conservative justices on the bench, securing a conservative court for decades to come.

- Removal of licenses from media companies -- I don't know much about this, but OK

I guess you didn't see my thread?!

Generations lost, horrors beyond imagining inflicted, and yet as a people they came out vigilant but asking for very little except the right to exist.  Admirable in my book.

I have factually pointed out that abortion is a national issue and that this issue falls under the umbrella of Reproductive Rights, yet the MAGAs slithering around here are trying to deny abortion as a national issue - even though it was a huge campaign issue in the presidential race - and redefine Reproductive Rights to make it about the right to fock.

It's like a scene out of "The Miracle Worker" around here.

Back to the concerns of a Trump presidency, one of my biggest after indulging in this thread is ignorant people redefining what are and what are not national issues, redefining terms such as Reproductive Rights and spending the next four years watching these folks gobble up fistfuls of misinformation dumbassery instead of doing some research and thinking for themselves.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Oh, it's all good. And it depends on whether you think Woody Allen is a pedo. Frankly, his movies suck so badly I find his filmography a bigger crime than marrying his stepdaughter. Polanski is probably a much worse human, but is most definitely a far better filmmaker.

I am not sure I believe that everything is happening because of the election outcome, some probably is, but I find it a bit of a leap that everyone suddenly wants peace just because Trump will take office next year.

I think it's reasonable for the Middle East bad guys to think that they would be better off negotiating some sort of off ramp with the Biden admin, because once Sheriff Don is in town, he's going to start cracking skulls over there.

Thanks, I guess. Would you care to address the rest of my post? Or would anyone else?

IIRC, your point was that it's hypocritical to oppose government bloat of unelected official, then have one unelected official (Musk) with outsized power to whack entire government organizations?  If so, my response would be (1) I don't think Musk will actually have that power, more of a consultive/advising role, and (2) I don't see how you avoid that hypocrisy, since there is no elected position like this.

I don't know what you are talking about.  I'm culling comments from this thread -- if you have something to add, feel free.  But I don't have the time to read every post of every thread looking for nuggets to post here.

Also, I wouldn't have guessed that @Engorgeous George would be the one to derail this thread, but since it was for hot Jewish actresses, and there are so many more than I had known about, I don't really mind.

I thought I remembered you being a Woody Allen fan.

Woody Allen is easily my least favorite big name director. I have attempted to watch at least half a dozen of his films. Annie Hall was the only one I finished, and that's because I was getting somewhere with the chick I watched it with. Overrated, neurotic, unfunny tripe, even with the great actors he manages to snag.

Polanski did Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown. Allen couldn't hope to touch either of those films in a hundred lifetimes.

Stephen King directed one terrible film, Maximum Overdrive, which I would rather watch on repeat for the entire playing time of Allen's full filmography than watch a moment of any of Allen's films.

Women cared so much for this idea that "reproductive rights are at stake" that Trump GAINED in the woman vote.  Gained big in the young woman vote.

Explain it.
