Iceland trip. Anyone been there?

Recommended Posts

Wife and I just booked a Viking Cruise that goes around Iceland.  The various shore excursions look awesome.

Any of you guys (or gals) ever been there?  Any recommendations for things/places we must see or do?

Iceland is on my bucket list. It's one of the few places outside North America that I'm very keen on seeing. WHATEVER YOU DO, make sure you get some serious hot spring soak time in, at non-commercial springs if possible. Clothing optional. Report back with observations and can sizes.

Never been but I want to. People say it’s cool

Same.  I imagine there are a lot of great hikes, as well as the cool scenery.

Yeah the geological sh1t seems pretty cool too. Geysers, geothermal pools etc. Seems kinda like Yellowstone except you can actually get in some of them

I have never been but it sounds incredible.  I never thought much about the place until I watched the movie, Secret Life of Walter Mittey.  Great movie.

I've read that the gynocology there is amazing.

I'm on the next flight!

Also, that first woman has nipple piercings.  That doesn't strike me as an attempt to "de-sexualize" them.  Her b00bs are quite nice as well.

It's going to be difficult to decide which of these excursions to pick on Day 2.

Need to see what the prices are before we decide, but right now I'm leaning towards that Lava Tube / ATV one.

Have you been to the lava river tube near Bend? It’s pretty cool

For all the years I've lived in Seattle area I still haven't been down to Bend.

Thanks for reminding me that we need to put this on our TODO list.

It’s a pretty cool area. I recommend hitting up Paulina Lake and the Big Obsidian Flow as well. Always fun to float the Deschutes in the summer A little further south you’ve got Crater Lake which is a site to behold but there isn’t much to actually do there
