I did a quick google search on the price of Greenland.  I found out truman once made an Offer equivilent to around 100 billion in today's dollars.  i saw an estimate of 1.3 trillion but i question the source.  I saw no estimates of 5 trillion.  Still, with a reluctant seller one does have to go to absolute top of the market, so who knows.  What happens if china or russia want to enter the bidding.  What does this unique property get in a competitive Auction?
