Woke or not, I'll never leave State Farm. A bit more expensive, but their coverage, customer service, and vendor relations are top notch.

Our support with State Farm has been top notch.

35 years ago I moved to Phoenix, and a college friend's father who lived here hooked me up with an AllState agent.  A month later my brand new Mustang was totaled, and my agent totally took care of it, including no increase in premiums (it wasn't my fault, but...).  

Fast forward a few years, and I married my wife who had State Farm.  She had a $1M rider, either for her pool and/or her teaching aerobics, I don't remember.  I talked to my AllState guy about matching it, but for whatever reason the State Farm cost was crazy low.  He basically suggested we go with State Farm.  Which we did.

31+ later we are with the same agent and State Farm, and super happy.  We've had all kinds of insurance, from rental property to jewelry to our kids apartments and their cars, and they've always been super good with claims, reminders of renewals, suggestions for lower costs, how to get car insurance in Mexico.  I'm sure we could pay less with Joe's Garage Shop Insurance, but I've made enough money in my life that I'll pay a premium for the convenience and comfort of good service.

I'm a MagaT as defined by the Lefties here, and I love Costco.  I don't particularly care what companies do internally, as long as it doesn't impact their product or service.  

If an airline has a policy of doing DEI pilot hires, I'm concerned.  If Costco does DEI hires, I'll be concerned when it impacts my experience.

That is what DEI means, yes.  It’s just that some companies took it too far.   Considering Costco is consistently considered one of the most loved companies by consumers and one of the best companies to work for, there is no indication that DEI has impacted the quality of their workforce.

Hate to break the bad news to you, but DEI does NOT mean "create opportunities for all".  It's racism, plain and simple, cut and dried.  No amount of virtue signaling is going to change that.

Preach, Jerry! I won't get into the claims we've made over the years (my beloved wife tends to get into accidents) but SF has always been excellent to me. My experiences from the other side, doing property restoration with insurance companies as my payers, confirmed their superiority.

At my job the only thing DEI has been used for is sensitivity training and learning about each other. No new hires. We don’t bully or be disrespectful of differences. I’ve learned about my colleagues who have origins in Kashmir, Madrid, Beijing, Hyderabad, Montana, a Native American reservation in NY, Germany…

Costco by me has an older white guy who is crippled in a wheelchair that just sits by the front door checking memberships, or now just making sure you scan it.  It is one of those battery-operated ones so it zips around pretty good.  Can`t do stock or any register type of work but they need someone to be at the front doors.

And these idiots don’t see how hiring an older person who is handicapped falls under diversity. What kind of genius do they think it takes to stock shelves or to be a cashier or hand out food samples. Ridiculous.

Letting you post here is starting to look like a DEI incentive. Just because someone is older and/or handicapped doesn't automatically make them a DEI hire. If they are as qualified as other applicants to to the specific tasks required.....it's not DEI. I'm pretty sure your statement is a targeted knock on a specific population......shame.....SHAME!!
