I get back to the Twin Cities occassionally.  I was back in October to see Lamont Cranston at the Caboose.  Unfortunately their 50 year run may be over, Pat hayes having suffered a stroke.  Maybe i will make the drive next year for the Vikes v. Packers.  If so the beers are on me.

This is a huge problem with our politics these days. Many on boff sidez simply refuse to even listen to each other. Mostly we all want the same things, despite our differences. I have no hate toward the vast majority of conservatives/ Republicans/ MAGA. Engaging with them here is the only realistic way for me to understand what they are thinking, since most people I know and spend time with are fairly liberal and I don't usually talk politics with them or the conservatives I know. Unfortunately, most of the conservatives here are card-carrying MAGA, and are incapable of or refuse to engage in real conversation. You will find I am quite respectful of others, assuming they treat me the same.
