Actually, when I hear someone yell autocracy! and oligarchy! (and unelected!  and tech bros!), when talking about folks like Musk who are worth almost $400 billion, implying that they think they are doing all this for the money, I'm confident I'm dealing with a low-intelligence poster who gets their marching orders from TikTok, MSNBC, etc.

There are plenty of intelligent interpretations of what Trump is doing, many of which rightfully raise valid concerns.  Autocracy and oligarchy ain't them.  HTH

Like you I have never bought into the argument that Musk is doing the DOGE stuff for personal financial gain. You’re correct that it doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Not quite.  The rest of the world wants the war to end as well with the exception of Russia.

The rest of the world hates the US for starting a trade war, along with other threats of war against Canada, Greenland, Panama, Iraq, Palestine, NATO countries, etc.
