LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

Recommended Posts

I mean he had to make up some token victories soon, right? Taco Don can’t move his fake deadlines back again. Throw him a bone, Europe!

If ever a liberal actually posts something intelligent, it will be both a first, and, a miracle.

Jan 6th happens every year. This year, Trump was getting ready to be inaugurated as the current president.

He said they would get 90 deals in 90 days, so he must have what, 60-70 trade deals done by now right?

Gotta cut the president some slack on this. He’s been busy vanquishing our geopolitical foes and making peace. Trade deals will happen.

So economists predicted that we would start to see price increases by the middle of the summer and that’s starting to happen. So far the worst affected are toys and other products mostly made in China.

It isn’t quite too late yet to avoid most of the pain that’s about to happen. Even now Trump can either announce a new deal with China and others, or he can come up with some new excuse to unilaterally reverse himself. Either way though it’s got to be fairly soon. The clock is ticking.

Let us know when you can't afford your Hello Kitty dolly and maybe all the posters on the fftoday site can work some overtime and get a collection together and help you out.

It’s easy to laugh at toy prices going up but what it means is a lot of small businesses hurt and less spending power for consumers.

Is the world economy on the cusp of a total collapse?  I remember this being parrotted quite frequently every month.  So now i ask.  Are we now finally at panic stage??

Prices are fine. Give real examples of these toy prices from 4 years ago on this date until now.  And tell me all the prices of life staples such as food and clothing and etc, and how they are directly affected by the tariffs in a technical sense instead of your generic daily  fear mongering. Don't forget to factor in inflation, regulations, supply and demand, product quality, company stats,  government policies, wages, etc at the time, including trade deals, shipping issues, and other relevant info.

Or, just keep fear mongering. :dunno:

Jesus.  Every freaking time @The Real timschochet posts it's about what is ABOUT to happen, or MIGHT happen in a few months.  For once, can't you wait until something ACTUALLY happens before posting?  I guess not because that would cut your posting down by two thirds since you post BEFORE something happens, WHEN you THINK it's happening, and then AFTER it DOESN'T happen when you get called out.  If you ONLY posted when things ACTUALLY happened you'd only be able to post one third as many posts as you do, and that would drive you nuts.

Math is math. When you tax items the price is added to the retail price. This isn’t rocket science. You may be determined to ignore reality but reality exists regardless of your ignorance.

At some point I wish you would actually read my posts and not reply to your own exaggerations of what I wrote.

Trump will cease negotiations and impose new tariffs because of Canada’s imminent, new digital services taxes.

Canada deserves what they get. They have not been a good neighbor. Nor has Mexico.

Except you’re not helping. And you’re showing off real stupidity here. You obviously know nothing about this topic. I mean your posts about tariffs have been especially ignorant and embarrassing even for you. Have you ever taken an Econ class? Serious question.

90 deals in 90 days?  Time's almost up, less than a week left.

How many deals do we have? 1.  UK.

Trump's plan now?  Write letters to each country telling them what their tariff rate is.

You guys remember liberation day and what happened to the market that necessitated the pause?

The Market has priced in no new tariffs, priced in that Trump learned his lesson and will not do it again.  Taco.

We shall see....

Will any Democrat, or their media puppets apologize for lying to the American people, THIS TIME? I rather doubt it.

They’re going to pay for all tarrifs on imports without our vendors passing to consumers? Really?

Get ready for hard times ahead. Some of us tried to warn you that these tariffs were going to cause a lot of pain and ugliness. And it’s only just beginning…

They are either going to have to lower their prices to negate some of the tariff or they are going to lose a lot of sales from the US.

Why does anyone buy anything made in Vietnam?  Because it's dirt cheap.  If it's not longer dirt cheap, why would anyone buy it?

It’s amazing to me that Trump supporters can pretend that the laws of the marketplace don’t exist. The last dudes to do that were Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin. You guys are in good company!
