Red White and Blue 81 Posted February 24 Americans don’t love this? Get out. DOGE's Elon Musk says federal employees must document their work or resign By Paulina Smolinski Updated on: February 24, 2025 / 8:22 AM EST Washington — Federal workers received an email on Saturday instructing them to document five things they accomplished in the past week, and Elon Musk said those who don't reply would risk losing their jobs. The email from the Office of Personnel Management, or OPM, had the subject line, "What did you do last week?" It instructed recipients to reply with five examples of what they got done last week, excluding any classified information, and asked workers to include their supervisor in their response. Musk, who is overseeing the White House's Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, said in a post on X that "Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation." He said the directive was "Consistent with President [Trump's] instructions." The email itself did not include the threat of forced resignation. The deadline to reply is Monday at midnight, according to the email. However, at least three agencies told workers to ignore the request and not to reply, raising doubts about the enforceability of Musk's threat. Federal workers outside of OPM do not report to the agency, and it cannot dismiss employees directly. Link

No different than everyone else. What funding that was cut do you think needs to remain? Disagree on people getting paid while looking for another job. Issues I have with the process is it's chaotic. They are firing people that shouldn't be fired. They fired people that are in charge of nuclear weapons. Then realized they shouldn't have fired them and tried to hire them back. They are firing people if they ever took a DEI training before, some took DEI training under Trump 1.0 and now are fired for it. Others fired based on performance but have gotten positive performance reviews or no performance reviews at all. Inspectors being fired whose job it is to identify waste, fraud and abuse the very thing they are telling you they are fighting. Firing IRS agents who are a net positive cash flow on the govt which makes zero sense unless the reason for firing them was so that people can get away with tax evasion and fraud. Funding? Farmers who lost out on selling their crops for USAID. People who had approved govt grants for their small businesses that now got them revoked and may go under. Research funding for diseases that result in lost jobs and lost scientific advancements. These scientists finding jobs overseas reducing the role of the US as a scientific leader in the world. None of this was thought out or planned. You have a drug addled idiot waving a chain saw around on stage cheering on his complete dismantling out the US. People like you think it's all good.
