Hardworking Americans speaking out against Republicans

That's a lot of word salad.  You could have just said, "I'm an idiot for thinking she said she wanted to fire all the government employees" and saved yourself a lot of time, Forrest. :first:

These guys legitimately scare me.  They get so lost in the doom and gloom rabbit hole they do something dangerous to themselves or others.  Not good

You’re right she didn’t say they should all be fired. But what she said was pretty dumb anyhow don’t you think? Or do you agree with her implication that most federal employees are lazy and worthless and don’t work “real” jobs?

I'm no fan of MTG and don't want to find myself defending her.  I was merely telling TrailDope that his take was even dumber than she is.  I'm confident he got that bad take from Vox or similar.

That being said, she is talking in the context of government employees who are protesting, which is clear in the beginning of the clip.  I would argue that the remainder of that clip is directed at protesters or other government employees who feel like they "deserve" something from the American taxpayers.

I think we need to have compassion.  We should see them not unlike someone who is controlled by a cult.  We should empathize that they are unable to escape what holds them.  Though, recently, some have.....

Your post said nothing, it was word salad.

Here, let's try the original question, TardGuy:  Is MTG calling for all government employees to be fired?

You are going to have some nice looking shoes if you keep getting that shinebox.

Take the L and a break, go check on your vast fake financial exec empire, and come back refreshed.

The feeling is mutual, you scare me as well.  Earlier this week we were debating the Musk email he sent over the weekend and you were in favor of it.  Then Cdub comes along and comes out against it and you turned on a dime.  It was quite the spectacle showing you have no ability to think clearly for yourself.

I remember there was a guy on FBG that was very similar to Trailguy  Wish I could remember his name.   He started very much the same, Trump got elected and he slowly started to lose it more and more.   Got to the point that i decided to not engage with him anymore.  I mean I was watching the breakdown in real time and it was not cool at all.

Do you mean TrailGuy?  Tim seems his regular old liberal self, to his credit.  But yeah, TrailGuy may be heading down a bad spiral.  Hope he can pull himself out of it.  Maybe some sunlight, and a little walking in nature.

Meh...cultish behavior is more Tim's style.  But he wouldn't let it lead to something awful.   This guy is....different....and I am seeing it get worse and worse by the day. It's not good at all

Different people react in different ways.  Some take their balls and go home; @IGotWormshasn't posted much for instance.  Gutterboy has backed off quite a bit as well, and Rusty seems to be losing the energy to keep up his troll.  TrailGuy is just obsessed at this point, and seems to move in and out of periods of coherence.

Koya or McGarnicle?  Both of them might have actually left the country in 2017.

@TrailGuy seems reasonable to me. He’s offering the same criticism that a lot of the nation is offering. He and I are in the minority here for sure but not necessarily in the general public. I sense a lot of buyer’s remorse is starting to take place. People voted for Trump to lower prices and secure the border, not all this other stuff.

Right.  No mention of draining the swamp during the campaign. It's a complete surprise!

I just read the headline.

Let me break it down for you.

48% in favor 37% against. That means most people approve.

The gotcha was that the poll from the previous week was 3% higher.  Really about the size of the margin of error though.

Always here to help out a dummy.

Polls show Americans fully support the Doge cuts.

By the numbers: In several recent national polls, more respondents disapproved of Musk or the job he's doing than approved of him.

  • Over half of respondents (55%) in a Quinnipiac University poll conducted Feb. 13 to 17 said Musk has too much power in making decisions affecting the U.S., while 36% think he has about the right amount of power.
  • A Pew survey of U.S. adults taken Jan. 27 to Feb. 2 showed that Americans had more negative (54%) than positive (42%) views of Musk (DOGE's dissection of the federal government has dramatically escalated since the poll was conducted).
  • And a Feb. 15 to Feb. 17 Emerson College Poll showed 45% of respondents disapproved of the job Musk was doing, while 41% approved and 14% were neutral.
  • Thanks 1

Dave portnoy jumps ship...

If I’m gonna be fair these questions needs to be asked today.

Why is the release of the Epstein list always a show?

What’s the point of booting out illegals and criminals while somehow becoming a safe haven for the Tate brothers?

Why is Crypto in the toilet if Trump is crypto king?

How far does Tsla stock have to crash before Elon goes back to work?

Seasoned Republican pollster and author Sarah Longwell suggested Wednesday that Americans who voted for President Donald Trump are beginning to have “buyers’ remorse,” citing a pool of focus groups she’s conducted full of MAGA voters who expressed less-than-positive reviews of the president’s first month.

“I think what we’re starting to see is the very beginning of buyer’s remorse setting in,” Longwell told MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on Deadline: White House. “And the voters that I was talking to both before the election and after … They voted for Donald Trump for one very specific reason—they thought things were too expensive, and they still think things are too expensive.”

This is a total non story.   Yeah you're going to get people who have buyers remorse.   Big focking deal.   These media outlets play it like its rampant because a handful of people, they cherry picked, say this.

Where are we on this?  It's not happening? It's not widespread?  Or it's no big deal?
