San Francisco Pride takes financial hit after major companies pull sponsorships amid DEI fallout

Recommended Posts

 Defund..

The organizers of San Francisco Pride (SF Pride) shared financial concerns due to major companies pulling funding this year.

SF Pride executive director Suzanne Ford said that the show will still go on, but organizers are going to have to make due with a smaller budget. Ford expressed suspicion this was part of a wave of businesses distancing themselves from diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs under the Trump administration.

"I'm very concerned. Obviously, there's pressure from the federal government," Ford told a local FOX affiliate.

"The tone has changed in this country. Businesses already hedge their bets, and I think people who, this isn't their hard core value of their corporation, maybe they're rethinking their investment," Ford said.

Ford said that five corporations pulled their sponsorship of SF Pride, resulting in a loss of approximately $300,000, and told Fox News Digital, "The overall budget goal is $2.3 million, and while we have nearly $1 million already committed, we now need to raise an additional $1.3 million to meet our target. We remain focused on securing the necessary funds and appreciate the continued support from our community and partners."

Were did Pride get their funding before businesses started donating? Or at least donating large amounts like..millions. surely when it first started it didn't get that kind of pull.

I am genuinely being curious. Withdrawing funding to any org can be difficult and harmful. I've never had an issue with Pride.

Wow, that's horrible.

Where are the kids supposed to go to see half naked Men and Trannies dressed like they're in a Ghey Rodeo?

I do not have problem with LGB's. It is the T's that I do not care for and the LGB's allowed the T's to hitch their wagon to their cause. Allowing this was a setback for LGBs because they were already accepted. Now with the T's tossed in people look at the LGBs as enablers.

From my understanding, in L.A. it started out on a really small scale, with a a parade only, that ran for just a few blocks on Hollywood Blvd in the late 60's and grew from there picking up sponsors over the years.

I have an issue with spending other people's millions to show off how proud you are to be a queer. Why do these people need donations for them to go outside with signs and tell everyone how proud they are? It's twisted.

As long as it's private donations by corporations and business and does not any involve taxpayer dollars, why should you care?

People and businesses should be free to spend their money any way they want to, as long as it not toward something illegal, no?

Nobody wants to see degenerates being celebrated.  Not sure why the homo crowd can't be satisfied like normal people and keep their sexuality private instead of having to play the "look at me!" nonsense.

We need to take away this fake Pride Month crap and kai-bosh it completely, unless you're going to give heterosexuals a "Heterosexual Month".  It's stupid for any sexuality.
