The OP's link was from mercurynews.com, out of San Jose, CA.  Do you think that is a right or left leaning outlet?  My money is on left.  Seems like that's where your ire should be directed.  The vast majority of coverage on these deportations from right leaning outlets, are focusing in on the criminals.  That should give comfort to those who do favor deportations of the that type of people.  The occasional person because caught in this, like the ones in this article, are being covered by left leaning outlets.

Well that sucks but if you can't find a way to obtain legal status after 35 years, either you didn't try hard enough or you didn't qualify.
