The guys own daughter used to try to hide from home when she had to take showers because he would get in with her. Dude was the leader of the pedo movement. RLLD 4,242 Posted Thursday at 08:14 PM I am amazed at how little people understand tariffs, and how easily they are manipulated to believe obviously false assertions. Even now, months later after they were lied to....and regurgitated those lies as if true.....here we are with low inflation and prices under control, but they so desperately want good policies to fail, so they can steal back power....and implement policies that cause dramatic harm to people....its really evil stuff

Because despite the cars being manufactured here many Ford parts are made in other countries: Asia, Canada, Mexico. You’re also ignoring another rule of tariffs: as they go up on imported products, the price of domestic products go up as well. There are lots of reasons for this. Shipping costs go up, transportation, storage. This is all economics 101.
The Real timschochet 6,816 Posted Thursday at 08:31 PM Basically what a tariff is is Marxism: the state is taking an active role in business, applying a tax in order to try and push business in a certain way. It’s the same principle as minimum wage, or rent control, or price controls. It doesn’t work, it can’t work. In a large economy such as ours you don’t always see the bad effects right away but eventually you always do because economic principles don’t lie.

Those vehicles, they're telling us, will not be affected by the tariffs. Tim's point was, if anything came from another country, it would be subject to the tariffs. Ford is telling people specifically that certain ones will not be... and they tell you exactly which ones. I'm not sure how being told exactly what vehicles to buy to avoid being upcharged because of tariffs, is "misleading".

It’s misleading because the article implies that these Ford models won’t go up because they’re “assembled” in the US. If half the parts are manufactured overseas (like the F-150) and shipped here for assembly, why wouldn’t the costs go up?

Mike Honcho 5,287 Posted Thursday at 11:18 PM Quote Trump feuds with Powell on tour of Fed’s $2.5 billion renovation The long-simmering clash between President Donald Trump and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell was on full public display during a Thursday afternoon tour of the renovation site at the central bank’s headquarters in Washington, DC. The tension between the two men was apparent during an exchange about the total cost of the Fed’s renovation project. Trump cited a figure above $3 billion, higher than the $2.5 billion in expected costs. Powell appeared shocked by Trump’s comment and said “I’m not aware of that.” Powell then pointed out that Trump’s figure included the cost of a third Fed building that was refurbished several years ago and reopened in 2021. “You just added in a third building is what that is,” Powell said. “It was built five years ago.”
