Local iconic place. You wouldn't know it.

You keep missing the point. The chain restaurants you go to so your kid can eat for free cost more than the best restaurants here.

Hey it's just a suggestion for you - since you're crying about how much things cost. You don't have to take it, stay in your chithole city, we'd all prefer it actually.

For me it's  just a pleasant byproduct.  I live where I want to and is just so happens it's a lot cheaper than the chithole cities I used to live in. Oh, did I mention no homeless, no graffiti, no crime?

I live in a wealthy part of northern Orlando (red area) and this is pretty common prices even here, I don’t know what MDC is talking about. Good restaurants too, not just chains.

What a stupid thread, you should check the reports before posting this garbage. You'd look less stupid.

BEFORE we get into what Trump promised, how about we address all the things Biden promised us that we're still waiting on?

Let's start with cancer.  Did he cure that yet?  ;)

The expensive gas station near the parkway is down to 3.09 a gallon.

My property tax is 15% of what it used to be.  Funny story that illustrates the point, since you keep missing it.

Blue state sent the tax bill the very first week of the new year to my new address in a different state for a home I no longer own. Sweet southern lady at the county told me not to worry about it, it might be a year or two before they send me anything when I called about our new home in the new red state.

Did you get the blooming onion to start?

You had 4 years to talk about Biden.  He's gone.  Trump is president now.

Biden left quite a mess behind. High interest and energy costs, consumer debt through the roof despite giving  billions directly to people,    Big uptick in car loans and mortgages in default. There were many issues regardless of the totally justified tariffs.

$1.75 pints at the bar yesterday. Must have been happy hour or something, but still, felt like I was back in the 90s.

Dinner with drinks $40. Can't do that in a blue city. If you want instantant price drops move out of the chitholes.

Because that's the only place you'd sniff $40 for two dinners and drinks?

Thanks for making my point for me. $2.55 gas.  I'd guess my car insurance is a third of yours.

lol Horsecrap thinks moving to a different state is evidence costs are coming down.

They aren’t, but at least they aren’t rising as fast as they were under Biden (although that had also slowed at the end of his term).

I’m curious to see what happens to real estate prices and what the righties say about it.  The only way they come way down IMO is with a massive recession, and that’s certainly not a good thing.   Best case for Trump IMO would be prices stay pretty flat but interest rates come down significantly.

You understand the meaning of the word "if"?  It's like one of the simplest words we have.

After today’s inflation report showed the first consumer price decline in years, a decrease in energy prices, and real average hourly wage growth, one thing is clear: President Donald J. Trump’s economic agenda is delivering for Americans.

Council of Economic Advisers Chair Stephen Miran: “That core inflation print, on an annual basis, was the lowest core inflation print since March of 2021, so President Trump’s policies are working at keeping inflation at bay, keeping inflation down. Between that and what’s going on with trade — America is back.”

Yes, we’ve been losing the trade war for over half a century, it’s time we got on the winning side.
