Sounds like every other streaming device. Yeah, you can stop paying for cable, but you have to subscribe to other streaming services (Hulu, Disney, Max, Netflix, Youtube TV, etc) and/or watch free streaming apps that have assloads of ads.

I've seen these things and looked into them.  They're not exactly legal, the quality is suspect, prime to hacking and could just stop working one day and there is nothing you can do about it.

Otherwise yeah go for it.

 

There are some subreddits that talk about them r/piracy and r/androidtvboxes

Most common complaint is one day they just stop working and there is nothing you can do about it.

It is like a jacked fire stick with Kodi from back in the day but it has everything- I mean everything. Watch live games in both home and away markets - Netflix and Hulu originals. Disney + originals etc - but sounds to good to be true.

I don’t think so (fire stick) this has more and canceling cable and streaming services saves $250 in one month.

you linked a shopify site with an inflated price that is then discounted .... not too different from most Prime Day deals though. 

I don't know much about this super box but if it really is like a jailbroken firestick running Kodi, etc  I remember trying a friends several years ago and not being impressed. 

 

I will stick to my Roku Stick and password sharing. I don't mind ads and I currently pay  99 cents per month for Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Prime, YouTube TV with a sports package and Netflix.  Since Netflix is the only one that really cares about password sharing, and even then the login I have for it has been working 75% of the time.

Firsticks allow unauthorized apps to be installed.  Anything that the Superbox has installed you can put on a firestick.  

I haven't looked specifically at the Superbox, because I don't have the need to, but a bunch of these just have an IPTV service installed.  And instead of a monthly subscription they get the equivalent of years worth of subcription in the price of the box. And then that's why you hear that they just stop working after awhile.  

If you know where to look you can get a free IPTV service.  Others cost ~ $10/mo. And a paid for one will include 18,000 channels or so around the world with 4,000 or so in the US.  All PPV and on demand included.  But it's on the fringe of being illegal so the services pop into and out of existence all the time.  

Personally I just find the free ones and I haven't had any issue watching anything I want for over a decade now.  On a firestick.

Haven't used kodi in a long time.  IPTV services are pretty slick now, everything in one giant tv guide and highly customizable.  But password sharing works too.

This is what Im using currently. Somebody just told me about something called Klub(?) I think he said it was like $20/months and you get everything. 

I know another guy who keeps up on all the latest apps so he just tells me what to install on the FS every couple of months or so.

The reality is, these services can crack down on it if they really want but many of them don't care and would rather not turn people off. Netflix can afford to take that action because they are the best.  I also HIGHLY doubt you have never shared anything without paying for your own.

Maybe when I was younger, but no I don't share any streaming services, I have my own family plan for mobile service, own insurance, etc.  I can afford to act like an adult and do it the right way.

I learned about these boxes a year or so ago because I saw them being sold at a flea market and was curious how it worked.  I'm into tech stuff.  I learned about it, how it's not exactly legal, and ripe for viruses, thought I would share with the OP.

Great.  I am relatively certain I can afford more than you but that’s beside the point … it’s not really anything to do with “acting like an adult”.  Adults save money. Why were you at a flea market?
