Dem lawmakers say their voters are threatening 'blood' and 'violence' over inability to hinder Trump

Recommended Posts

Gee, liberals are now saying they are going to do what they always do? Shocking I tell you.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dem-lawmakers-say-voters-threatening-blood-violence-over-inability-hinder-trump-report

Democratic lawmakers say their voters are enraged at the lack of ability to counter President Donald Trump's agenda, with some saying they could resort to "violence," Axios reported Monday.

The outlet says it spoke to over two dozen House Democrats to measure the temperature of the Democratic base. What it found was red-hot anger and a burgeoning desire to circumvent the rule of law, where explanations that Democrats simply don't hold enough power in Washington fall on deaf ears.

"We've got people who are desperately wanting us to do something... no matter what we say, they want [more]," Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., told the outlet.

Most of the lawmakers spoke on condition of anonymity. Schneider's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

"Our own base is telling us that what we're doing is not good enough... [that] there needs to be blood to grab the attention of the press and the public," one such lawmaker said.

Another said their constituents are convinced that "civility isn't working" and that they should prepare for "violence... to fight to protect our democracy."

Rhetoric has been overheated for some time.  The trend lines on potential violence are moving in the wrong direction, at least for me.

Liberals lost 2 of the last 3 pres elections and so they are justifying violence. But they committed massive violence all through 2020 and they think there is a connection with committing violence and then winning the next election

Absolutely. I took OP off ignore long enough to read his post. I chuckled.

You mean Democratic voters are mad that their elected leaders are completely useless?

There is no justification for violence at this time. But if ICE keeps arresting undocumented people who are not violent criminals, it’s going to happen.

It won't be justified then, either. But I know what you're saying.

I agree it won’t be justified, I’m just saying it will be inevitable. When the police act unjustly, some of the public will act unjustly too. That’s simply a reality.

This makes no sense as usual. He was announced as he lost.Who disputed that?

The liberals cheated for the win and got away with it.

You are all focked up about this it seems.

Yes....let's ignore lawbreakers unless they are violent criminals.....we should also suspend all motor vehicle infractions unless there is an accident involving a death...🙄

Liar. You don't need to take someone off of ignore to see their post.

And all democrats are extreme liberal leftists.

You should learn things before you post all of the nonsense you post 40 times a day.

Many people believe that arresting and deporting nonviolent people who have been here for decades  is unjust, no matter how they arrived. I happen to share that conviction.

Beleiveing something doesn't make it right, if it's illeagal its illeagal and the ICE agents actions are surely justified

Also, there's no mention of time in your post, it was just undocumented people

"But if ICE keeps arresting undocumented people who are not violent criminals, "

Way to keep moving goalposts

You’re right about time. It really doesn’t make a difference to me how long they’re here.
Look you and I obviously disagree about this issue. That’s fine. I’m only pointing out that if ICE continues to attempt to enforce this particular law on people who are not violent felons, there’s going to be violence. I don’t approve of that; I want peaceful protests leading to political change through elections, but violence is inevitable.

The problem with your stance, that you've refused to acknowledge, is that shutting down the border and deporting illegals is a winning issue.  Most Americans believe in a secure border, deporting illegals, and a sane immigration policy.  It's a vocal minority, of which you're a part of, that doesn't believe in those things.  And that's fine.  But you're accepting that violence is OK for a minority to impose on the majority in a country.  And you accuse Trump of being the one who's authoritarian.

There will be with Latinos in many major cities if they keep seeing friends, neighbors, relatives and co-workers who have no criminal record, being snatched off the streets by ICE - they were told by Trump ICE would go after the violent criminals first but that is not what has happened (because they can't find enough murderers and rapists to meet their quota).

I don't care how many people think it's unjust...including yourself.......THEY BROKE US LAW TO GET HERE. Again.....it's not about feelings, it about fact. The FACT IS, the US has one of the MOST LENIENT responses in the world to people illegally entering the country. In many cases elsewhere it's incarceration, not deportation. Libs want people to break into this country but impose jail time if you don't use proper pronouns......and you wonder why you lost.

Right and wrong is not a question of popularity. But even so you’re incorrect; it is NOT a winning issue per polling. The public wants the border secure. They want violent criminals deported. They do NOT want all undocumented people deported. Only a minority wants that (though perhaps in this forum it’s a majority.)

Get rid of all illegals. They are breaking the law.

That's called winning.

Perhaps? It is a majority in this forum if thread comments are any indication.

You're wrong about what people want.  I would agree that there may be some compromise on "all", but it's certainly the majority and for most people it is ALL of the ones Biden allowed in.  But, as I said, you've refused to acknowledge these realities for as long as I've been unfortunate enough to know you so this post isn't unexpected.

I’m not wrong:

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2025/06/11/politics/deportations-trump-polling-analysis

Americans oppose deporting people who have a job, 56-41%.

Here's an idea. Go after the left mouthpieces who are/have been inciting the mob, many of which are already mentally ill.

Yeah, I'm talking about Rachel Maddow & company.

June 2024

Rachel Maddow said she is “worried” that Donald Trump returning to the presidency could mean she might wind up in “camps” intended to house illegal immigrants.

The MSNBC primetime host told CNN on Monday that she was “worried about the country broadly if we put someone in power who is openly avowing that he plans to build camps to hold millions of people, and to ‘root out’ what he’s described in subhuman terms as his ‘enemy from within.'”

Maddow added: “For that matter, what convinces you that these massive camps he’s planning are only for migrants? So, yes, I’m worried about me — but only as much as I’m worried about all of us.”

Maddow was talking about her personal concerns and expressed worry "about "all of us - that can hardly be considered "inciting the mob" 😁
