I have very fond memories of my youth regarding PBS.  Sesame Street, Mr Roger's, Electric Company, Zoom... then watching Star Trek reruns late Saturday nights as a teen. 

I hope they can find a way to be relevant and not too woke moving forward.

 Me also. We only had four channels as most of us know.I do enjoy NOVA, Frontline, symphonies, and local stories of current and historical events. Great content all around minus political news, pundits, and the media slant.

Frankly, this was LONG overdue by about 20 years.  Think of how much money the taxpayers could have saved.  It's mind-boggling.

If lefties want to promote their hate and intolerance of those that don't bend the knee to their dogma, they should do it on their own dime.  That's not what taxpayer money should be funding.  I mean, they already have the MSM, Hollywood and the Music industry.  NPR and PBS are wholly unecessary.

There were Marxists around when I ws in school but they were mostly marginalized sideshow that set up a table in the student area and that was about it. They had next to no institutional power. The liberals allowed anybody in to teach, including the Marxists. Then, once the Marxists got their foot in the door and over time rose to positions of authority, they pretty much only ever hired fellow Marxists.
