Boycott Cracker Barrel!

Recommended Posts

I wouldn’t boycott over their logo, that’s retarded.

But I ate at one a few weeks ago for probably the first time in 5 years.  Took 45 minutes after we ordered for my kids to get some chicken tenders, pancakes and cheeseburger sliders which were terribly burnt.  When they brought that stuff out they said if my wife still wanted what she ordered that it would be another 45 minutes.

So yeah, probably won’t be going back anytime soon.

I boycott most chain restaurants cause I try to eat healthy but do indulge once or twice a month. This looks bad for their stock and what the heck was they thinking ?

Sales were already way down, the renovations were a good idea.

But someone should have expected conservatives would get mad about removing a cartoon man from the logo.

Either way bad decision on their end. Also people are craving Nostalgia and don't want upgrades to the places they enjoyed in the past. There is one Retro Pizza Hut left here in PA. and people are driving hours to just be there.

You live in PA now?

Just because it’s the last one left.  Next you’ll tell me Blockbuster Video shouldn’t have closed down because people drive hours to go to the last remaining one.

I ate there for the first time 2 years ago.  On college visits with my son and we found ourselves in nowhere, VA and ate at cracker barrel.  People were nice, service was great, but the food was inedible.

Obviously I do not follow anything political but that’s what this is about ? The logo change ? I had the sound off on GMA the other day and saw the logos on the TV but didn’t know what they were talking about. Jeez.
Back when I was on the road all the time we stopped at The Barrel for convenience of knowing what we were getting and the bathrooms were almost always clean. Loved the Carmel apples over vanilla ice cream !!

This reminds me of the people complaining when Around the Horn got cancelled and I bet they hadn’t watched it in 5+ years

Far more conservatives complaining about this than libs complaining about Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle.

Off the top of my head, well known folks complaining about this include:

Jack Posobiec

Benny Johnson

“Amuse”

Anna Paulina Luna

Charlie Kirk

Glenn Beck

Chad Prather

Out of touch execs making changes that don't address the problem. It's simple. Improve the quality of the food. Good food will find an audience. Changing the logo and interior isn't going to fill booths.

I think they took the “cracker” off the logo.

Agree on the food and the logo for sure.  I think interior renovations aren’t a bad idea though when the place probably hasn’t changed in like 40 years.

In a totally unrelated marketing move, Bob Evans launched a new ad campaign.

“If you can’t beat us, copy us”

When Bob Evans first came to Florida all the transplants would line up out side for an hour long wait. The food wasn't bad, but not worth an hour long wait. They really wanted that mush or mash or whatever you call that stuff.

Newsom comes across as sad and pathetic to most real Americans.

The Dems better hope a new star arises. Newsome would get ripped apart in an election. They would point to California and ask do you want higher taxes? Do you want your city over run by homeless people? Do you want to watch cities burn? Vote for him. IDK how he could defend against that.

How many "big cities" have a craker barrell?  I assumed most were in rural areas or the ruralist suburb to a city as possible.

Democrat Party is racist and sexist.  Can only support a white, CIS (allegedly) male would be the story.  They would implode.

I think they’re most commonly right off the highway in suburban areas not too far from cities

Don't know or care about what Cracker Barrell did or didn't do... I never liked their food anyway so I never go there.

They are mostly close to highway ramps. Travelers are a big part of there business. Lots of seniors too.

Just my 2 cents... Cracker Barrell is like Bob Evans, they have a niche.  They should stick with that niche.  When I traveled to the south and went to those places, they were hopping.  Very busy and the food was fine (well, Bob Evans was, like I said, didn't care for Cracker Barrell), but the clientele seemed to love it.  They tried to expand up north, apparently.  The few I've been to up here were only a slight upgrade from Denny's.  My guess is that expanding out of their wheelhouse caused the quality of their product to decline.

Both chains would be best served saying in their market and catering to that crowd.  If you stop doing that and try to cater to others, you're going to lose your base and not gain new people fast enough.  I think both chains are going to progressively fade out of existence in the future if they keep with their current agenda.

I think there’s one in Cherry Hill? Seriously can’t ever remember eating at one. The old logo was much better.
