To me, it just spurs so much more thought about the shooter.  Unless, the shooter was carrying multiple guns, the bolt action rifle directs the conversation to more planning and thought into this than some rando that gets their hands on an AR. If youre planning the the most accurate, single shot with best chances of a kill, you’re using a bolt action.

I’m guessing semi-autos out number bolt action by anywhere from 3/1 to 10/1.  Bolt action technology is 200 years old, so it’s seen as your “grandpas gun” by many, so they’re not flashy like ARs and such.  They have magazines, but most are 8-10 rounds, not high capacity like semi autos.

Question…does yours actually eject the empty shell when you rack the bolt?  Mine doesn’t, you have to pick it out the barrel manually. It’s old and I’m probably the 3rd owner, and so I always imagined it was supposed to eject by design.
