Wtf.  I play in a 16 team league where, as you can imagine, the waiver wire is slim pickings.  I drafted Kraft to be my backup to Kittle.

100%.  Even in a 10 team league, you draft 2 quality TEs if you can.  The position is so thin that you have to protect it unless you have a very small bench.

Otton might be a good play.   his matchup seems to give up points to TE.    and hes got a QB who can get him the ball.

pretty sure hes not gonna be rostered.

It’s more about carrying 2 TEs.  You don’t know what you’re doing if you carry 2 TEs.

depends on your league and to some degree your situation.

I've carried two TE when I've had Kittle in the past as my starter.   Because Kittle's health at times has been very unreliable.   I dont blame a guy for having a decent backup when drafting kittle to be the starter.   I'd argue its good planning.  in this case, also rotten luck.

also if your league has a decent sized bench, it makes more sense to have a second TE/QB.

I often times roster two TEs, even two Qbs into the season, one reason is , during the playoffs all drop/adds are closed, so you go into the playoffs with what you have,  I always say, one should never, ever draft two qbs or TEs.   

I own Ertz on both of my teams, Kittle was just dropped last night, I’m thinking about picking him up if I can.  And keeping them both ,.  The most important and over looked, is streaming.

the other issue.  while lots of people like to stream QB and TE.  as the season progresses those better streaming options come off the wire when people get hurt and disappear for good.

there is a point in the season where if you wanna stream players you need to roster 2 so that you are not caught without a good option.

This is the cost of drafting players late in these positions.  if you do a good job streaming you can get almost as good production out of (lets say the QB position) as someone who drafted a QB early.  but the price of that is that you at some point need to roster 2 if you want to continue to stream late in the year.   also of note is that people will start to carry a second Qb later in the year so they dont have to worry about acquiring a QB on waivers come playoff time.   its like an insurance policy.   so streaming options do dry up a bit later in the year.

this year may actually be an exception for the QB position as I see more viable starting options on the wire than I've seen in a very long time.    was gonna say ditto for TE but thats not the case now that weve seen a ton of injuries to TE.

That’s what I enjoy about ff during the season, unstableness, one must be ahead of the other ff team owners to win, and in a fourteen team league, even more so.

Why do I get this feeling Kraft will be declared inactive tomorrow?  It may be wishful thinking as my opponent has Kraft, but he also picked up Musgrave this week, so he's covered.  Just a feeling that something's up here.
