There is always the possibility that there is something new here and then I will have to retract what I wrote. But I doubt it. The evidence is by all reporting what was already revealed: that they’re going after Comey based on a statement he made to Congress that he had no knowledge of McCabe giving info to a news reporter, whereas McCabe supposedly told the Wall Street Journal that he told Comey he was going. 

Maybe Comey lied. Maybe McCabe lied. Maybe one or the other misunderstood the question or the answer. It was 5 years ago. There is constant leaking from the FBI to the media, always has been. Both Comey and McCabe have discussed this in interviews and claimed innocence. This is not the sort of dispute that normally results in criminal charges. It strikes me as extremely selective and vindictive, and ordered by Donald Trump. This last point (Trump’s involvement) is the main reason I think it will be thrown out.
