In that same vein, what cracks me up is people from Puerto Rico and Mexico, etc acting like they aren't descendant from spanish colonizers like america were the first people to colonize sh¡t.  They calling people colonizers... like, bro, america ain't colonized sh¡t since what WWII?  And that was some podunk pacific islands.

Hm yeah that’s a fair point. Seriously I agree with you. Hey Spain colonized Louisiana at one point, left some nice architecture & good food & a chunk of folks who like to think of themselves as Cajuns. No hard feelings here.

But the US did invade PR, we have a base there, they’re the richest place in the Caribbean & the US makes a ton of money there. And they’re Americans.

And anyone decendent from spain bemoaning colonizers (ahem puerto ricans) is a complete and utter joke.  Spain literally wiped out civilizations.  And I don't mean literally in the exaggeration sense.  I mean they actually wiped out whole civilizations.  They were brutal.
