I guess MAGA can rally around the second option. Doesn't make much sense...but if it helps them sleep at night.

People just aren't happy with Donald Trump right now. It will be interesting to see if he tones it down a bit for the mid-terms.
Grace Under Pressure 162 Posted 14 hours ago MAGA is a backwards looking movement with a lame duck narcissistic leader who is constitutionally prohibited from running again. He never cared about America, and you know it. Peace out MAGA. An embarrassing cult-like movement that belongs in the trash bin of history. Supporting mega millionaires and billionaires just so they could piss on a trannie or an immigrant. Pathetic.

We had people justifying voting for him for a variety of reasons. It's funny when the sides flip, people's morality changes. The truth is becoming more and more that the dominant party in a state can nominate the most despicable person and they will still win the general due to the polarization of our politics. The Real timschochet 7,413 Posted 14 hours ago So I was way off on the margin of Mamdani’s victory. Everything else is pretty much as I predicted. Big night for Democrats, no real surprises. Again I want to stress- none of this means the country is moving to the left. We remain pretty much a center right nation. Tonight is a rejection of Trump overreaching. zsasz 383 Posted 14 hours ago Attorney General race breaks for the D's in VA despite all the horrible things the man said in texts. Man, people must really be upset with the direction of this country when a guy can say what he said and still win. Maybe people didn't take it seriously because they thought it was just "locker room" talk though.

If Trump relaxed what ICE is doing everything could be different. However I don’t think any of these things are going to happen. I think Trump will double down, and look for distractions (war is possible) and try to paint every Democrat as a Mamdani socialist. And I think it will all blow up in his face.
