Hey thanks for asking. The answer is yes it was a vacation, but not a voluntary one. I received a month’s suspension. I assume it was because of some insults I offered to @Strike as a result of him attacking my family, though I have no idea. I thought my response was justified though I probably could have chosen better language. Oh well. 
 

Anyhow, hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season.

No idea, probably.  I don't know what alias strike is using or if he will come back as strike again to tell us, not that he has any credibility anyway.

I somewhat remember the exchange and what Strike said was his usual attacks on Tim calling him a pedophile. Can't remember exactly what Tim said in response but it seemed appropriate at the time (but I guess the mods didn't think so).

Its good to see you again, Tim. I figured you must have come to your senses and prioritized your mental well being over the undeserved abuse you receive here was worried you weren't coming back. I respect how you try to keep disagreements civil and the notion that you crossed a line seems to pick up a ban just seems so out of character and ridiculous.

Per a DM I received from him, The Real timschochet has informed me that he has been banned from this site. 

This occurred after an exchange with another poster earlier today in the Brown Shooting thread.

I was following the exchange in real time as it happened, however all posts involved in that have been deleted, so I don't feel comfortable disclosing who the other poster was, nor repeating what was said.

From Tim's DM to me:

If you would, please let the folks there know what happened and give my high regards to the people I engaged there in good discussion. Thanks.

It was @Meglamaniac, who was having a ginormous temper tantrum and calling Tim numerous personal attacks.  Tim largely kept his cool and I don’t recall him saying anything that bad especially by GC standards.  I don’t want anyone to be banned, but if Tim was banned as a result of that exchange, Meglamanic better be as well.
