They weren't mad that the government was shutdown. They pretended to be so they could blame Trump and rouse the rabble to get out and vote. 

They are mad that it reopened because they didn't get to make taxpayers keep paying for healthcare for illegals.

Actually, we do. Unfortunately, many here in this forum and this country don't have an issue with Americans, particularly children going hungry.

Our system is designed so that if a bill doesn’t pass it’s negotiated until it will. This is purely a recent phenomenon. Something has to change in Congress, leadership, end safe districts, add more seats, campaign finance laws. The elected representatives don’t adhere to duty.
