None of the new guys should sniff the hall. Maybe Cole Hamels. Removing the steroid guys (I’d put them in but that’s a whole other thing) I’d say Andruw Jones and Felix should be in. Without looking at numbers and doing any actual research I’d have thought Omar V was higher. On a side note have met Hunter Pence a few times through work. Awesome dude! WhiteWonder 3,050 Posted November 17, 2025 talk about a ton of blah. Beltran and Jones should make it over any of the new names aside from maybe Hamels when you include his postseason success. Gio Gonzalez?

zsasz 394 Posted 5 hours ago Jones might be the greatest Defensive CF of all time with 400+ HRS. He should be in. Beltran didn't have the defensive metrics Jones had....but was better offensively. He should be in. I would have said King Felix before looking at his numbers, but while he was good, he wasn't even close to being Jacob DeGrom good (a guy IMO who is going to push the boundaries of the vote due to his spotty health and complete lack of longevity and counting numbers but who has dominated when healthy). The one who probably should be looked at more closely is Chase Utley. There are only 21 2B in the Hall of Fame. His Prime 7 is right there with any modern HOF 2B not named Joe Morgan. He probably could have used another couple of years to bump up some counting stats though.

cmh6476 1,203 Posted 4 hours ago Glad to see Beltran get in. Does that mean Gordo didn't get any votes? He's a Royals HOFer. Cooperstown? Yeah, not so much.

cmh6476 1,203 Posted 3 hours ago I'm not digging up their numbers, but are a-rod and manny's numbers not up to the halls standards, or are other factors holding them back?

Seriously? Both are elite statistically including several awards and post season success. They are slam dunk HOF. HOF voters suck ass and the HOF is meaningless in my opinion. I know who the HOF worthy players are in my mind and those are the true HOFers. They are kept out because of steroid use.
