It was perfectly safe before Trump deployed the Guard there. Military commanders warned him that this was dangerous.

This seems highly relevant. Apparently this is public record. This tragedy is already awash in unfair finger jabbing so the significance will be lost.

It’s 100% Lakanwal’s doing. But: National Guard aren’t cops, they’re not trained to be cops. It’s so utterly sad this poor girl was there but also that it was her first day, just completely unprepared for all this.

Ok, I’d like to point out that this man fought with & for US forces *against the Taliban, 2011-2021. The Trump administration surely examined his record fighting for the US in examining his record when they granted asylum. Agreed?

I read he was being deported this summer and a radical left wing judge blocked the deportation.

The Trump administration granted him asylum in April 2025. That’s not something DHS does to someone they’re going to deport.

And if he was a radical Islamist terrorist he would be arrested, not deported.
