It was perfectly safe before Trump deployed the Guard there. Military commanders warned him that this was dangerous.

This seems highly relevant. Apparently this is public record. This tragedy is already awash in unfair finger jabbing so the significance will be lost.

It’s 100% Lakanwal’s doing. But: National Guard aren’t cops, they’re not trained to be cops. It’s so utterly sad this poor girl was there but also that it was her first day, just completely unprepared for all this.

This person may have tried an attack elsewhere. But the fact is, the president put a target on the back of soldiers for no reason, putting them in harm’s way. Military commanders knew this, warned the president, and he told them to F off because he sees military members as suckers and losers.
